  1. Jon, if I can find one, I'll buy it. <thumbsup> Here's an interesting review on it: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/09/foghorn/gun-review-mossberg-mvp/ Think about THIS aspect of it... <thumbsup> <lmao>
  2. Aaaaaahhhhhhh... Tough call, brother. :-[ I'm of the "buy, don't sell" mentality, but that is a tough call.
  3. Jon, if we could combine the stock from the Varmint, and the 18.5" barrel length of the Predator, it would be perfect.
  4. They unveiled that one last year - I've looked at that for quite some time. .223 bolt will be a good running rifle, AND it's mag fed. The stock on the thing is great looking... What's not to like? I don't have a single .223 bolt gun, but this one might be the one. Load me up some Berger 90gr VLDs and get busy. <laughs>
  5. The Shrike is pretty damn cool, man! I like that thing! <thumbsup>
  6. Damn, are we up to 9?!... <laughs> Can you screen cap that for me, brother? Have to be logged in to view...
  7. If he has my wood in some sort of "presentable fashion," I wouldn't even mind if you touched it for me... <thumbsup> <laughs>
  8. AWESOME!!! Seeing the supporters, all pissed off, well... it still doesn't make it "worth it," but it's some consolation prize of some sort... <lmao> This is the best: A whole new wave of Obama supporters still don’t even know: They’ll get their first 2013 paychecks on the 15th of the month. So when you’re shooting the breeze in the lunchroom with your grumbling co-workers on the 16th, just ask them, “Who’d you vote for in November?” When they say Mr. Obama, just tell them: “Well, you got what you voted for. You did know he was going to raise taxes, right?” The looks on their faces will be priceless.
  9. My 10 x Pmag 20s made it in at DSG - they're being held for the rest of the order. I'll let you guys know as soon as the 2 x 10-pack of 30s gets updated. Those that jumped on that deal, yours should ship shortly after mine do. <thumbsup>
  10. Drew, that was an awesome writeup - what a great, relaxing time. Toby looks right at home fish-spotting. ;D
  11. He's in the Tucson area - I may ask you to pay him a visit... <thumbsup>
  12. Yeah, this IS all your fault, Greg... <dontknow> <laughs>
  13. Well, the direction I was going was at "change." If it worked before and didn't work after, first thing to look at is "what changed?" Since that's not the case, assume the gas block is correct. Go after the notorious DPMS rough chamber, first. Obviously, verify that the gas block is correct, but the chances are that it is. <thumbsup>
  14. Sad times for the firearms industry, and the Pacific Northwest. It was about 2 1/2 years ago that Logan Coffey (Tactical Tailor) died in a car accident in Lakewood, WA. I knew him, he knew me by name. I shopped for his goods since the beginning. Pushed several contracted purchases through him for gear. Everytime I'd stop into the shop he had on 100th St SW (before the move to the current location), he'd show me something new he was doing, or making. Almost had him talked into buying the bumpers off my Dodge - he wasn't gonna get mine, but he was looking into the company that made them... <laughs> I've never met John Noveske, but I'm certain that he's the same caliber of man, and he will certainly be sorely missed in this community.
  15. Same thing they did to me a couple weeks ago - sitting on a train loading dock in Baltimore for 3 days. EXCEPTION: Late Train...
  16. Chicago politics... sickening.
  17. It gets even better on their website, in the mag listing... <thumbsup> <laughs> http://www.urbanertslings.com/twopihaform4.html
  18. This is fantastic - no holds barred opinion, right here: http://conservativefiringline.com/company-runs-out-of-ar-15-magazines-blames-sheep-leftists/ Urban-ERT, an Indiana-based company that sells slings, magazines and other accessories for various weapons, ran out of the standard capacity AR-15 magazine. “Sorry We are out due to the sheep leftists reacting to a tragedy emotionally instead of rationally,” the company says on its website. The company also takes Obama and the Democrat-media complex to task for its role in advocating gun control. “UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO THE MARXIST PIECE OF SH*T MAKE BELIEVE MESSIAH IN CHARGE AS WELL AS HIS MEDIA USEFUL IDIOT MINION D*CKHEADS, THE ENTIRE SOCIETY OF LIBERTY LOVING AMERICANS ARE BEING PUNISHED FOR THE ACTIONS OF A F**KING LUNATIC. INSTEAD OF BLAMING A CULTURE OF PSYCHOPATHS AND CRIMINALS FOR VIOLENCE, THEY BLAME THIS 10″ x 3″ x 1″ PIECE OF PLASTIC AND METAL ENGINEERING GENIUS FOR THE SLAUGHTER OF TWENTY INNOCENT CHILDREN AND SIX TEACHERS,” the company said. The company wasn’t finished. “OUR COUNTRY IS CURRENTLY UNDER ATTACK BY THE DEMENTED, TWISTED, AND DISTURBED BRAINWASHED CHILDREN OF THE HARD CORE OLD SCHOOL SOVIET BLOCK COMMUNISTS WHO HAVE INFILTRATED OUR COUNTRY AT EVERY FACET OF SOCIETY. IF YOU ARE HERE LOOKING TO PURCHASE A STANDARD CAPACITY MAGAZINE THAT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, THEN YOU OBVIOUSLY UNDERSTAND THE WORDS ABOVE. AND WHEN THEY PASS UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS, OR IMPLEMENT UNCONSTITUTIONAL REGULATIONS, I HOPE THAT YOU REMEMBER YOUR GOD GIVEN FREEDOMS, AND REFUSE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REGIMES INTENTIONAL DESTRUCTION OF OUR ONCE GREAT COUNTRY, AND DIE IN A PILE OF SMOKING BRASS. MOLON LABE,” the company added.
  19. Awesome!!!
  20. Makes perfect sense, man! <thumbsup>
  21. Left him a voicemail yesterday...
  22. Exactly! It's not the length, it's the girth... For a projectile, something made of lead, flying around 900~1,000 fps, and looks like a big, fat bumblebee moving downrange. If I could find a 1911 that shot big, fat, lead, pointed golf balls, that would be ideal. <laughs>
  23. Marana would get the nod. <thumbsup> Springtime Appleseed up there - we're trying to coordinate it for the April shoot.
  24. Same scope I used on this build a couple years ago: http://308ar.com/forum/black-rifles/isn't-this-how-it-always-starts/
  25. He's had it since the weekend after all you guys came down here... <dontknow> 8~9 weeks is his normal time. I'm over that timeframe. I'm not too worried yet... well... :o
