  1. Indeed...
  2. ^^^ That's just a start, by the way. That wouldn't cover 15% of it all. For realz.
  3. This is what I need to do to get chicks. If it lights them on fire - perfect. If they don't understand - you just answered all my questions, girl. Here's how I need to open this up with them...
  4. Aero Precision M5 series parts, complete uppers, complete lowers. That fits what you're asking, and the quality is fantastic.
  5. Fulton Armory .308AR hardware is DPMS-based. DPMS-based LR-308 receivers pin to Aero M5 receivers. I've done it, they work. The lines don't necessarily mate perfectly, but they pin together and run.
  6. Yep, PalmBeach, gonna need a full list of parts, who made them/sold them to you, and some key dimensions on recoil system and gas system parts/sizes. Gotta start there, otherwise, we're blindfolded and throwing the darts at the dartboard...
  7. Taking out the hammer, and dropping the BCG from locked-back is the best advice yet, for figuring this out. Try it.
  8. Oh Hell Yes. That's the best source you'll ever find for recoil system information anywhere, no matter what. What he does and how he does it is what made me do my deep-dive into recoil systems. There's no better resource anywhere for recoil system information, hands down.
  9. I saw what you did there...
  10. That's exactly what I do everytime I put one of these together. I lay the set screw out beside the spring, and cut that much off the spring, plus 2 more coils. Makes running that takedown pin much easier. I've always loved Fulton Armory. Both @Matt.Cross and I have that same exact barrel. RIP Clint McKee.
  11. Hell yeah! I'm ready for it.
  12. I've seen that Stag spring first-hand, and it's a very stiff bastard. Put in an Armalite EA-1095 spring or a Sprinco Red spring, and see how it does - those two springs will perform the same, so just grab what's in stock somewhere. For that EA-1095 spring, that's the real Armalite part number, so so buy anything else that you can't comfirm is the actual, real Armalite part. Well, besides that Sprinco Red. Everything else is where it needs to be for your recoil system. Buffer should be 5.200" long and 5.4 oz. Receiver extension internal depth should be 9 11/16" deep, from the back of it inside the tube, out to the top edge.
  13. Somewhere between a gas port size of 0.083" to 0.087" for that .308 Win chambered barrel. I'd go more to the higher side of that range, if it was mine, and I've done that in the past, and it works. Go big, and it won't disappoint you. Check what you have, and punch it up.
  14. I might have missed it here, but I've seen no specifics on barrel dimensions, at all. What's the barrel length, what's the gas port diameter (we have that part), what's the gas system length (kind have info on that). What's the gas block journal size? I can tell you what your gas port diameter needs to be, if you give me that information, very specifically.
  15. We were close to that in AZ, and it just didn't go through. That was around 2014 or something. Had it passed here, I'd have 37 of these things by now. I'd take on the .gov on it.
  16. If anyone even knew why this stated 1776 on it in the first place, they'd get the history here...
  17. You must like 'em BIG!...
  18. I have a couple Faxon barrels, 2 Grendels, a 6 ARC and a .308 barrel. Faxon makes a great barrel, every bit as good as the BA barrels. There's one series of BA barrel that I'd put up against anything from a custom barrel maker, but all the others they make - I'd rank the Faxon barrels right there with them. Full disclosure: I'll go with BA first, everytime. I turn to Faxon when I can't find a particular BA barrel in the profile I want - and Faxon makes the profile I want. No hesitations.
  19. 18" rifle gas with a 0.750" journal size. Great time to check the gas port diameter, and drill if necessary. That looks like a hell of a deal, right there - nice find!
  20. I know this well. Very well.
  21. I'd like to toss this one out here, just because.
  22. New Aaron Lewis... This is badass.
  23. I'm in charge of training those little savages. They're gonna be WAY BADDER than that. Little Baby Rangers, swinging a chain, is how they start out, right from birth. If you like "Terminator" - those are my 3 little John Connors, right there. Those boys are gonna wreck the world. I promise you that.
  24. That's not gonna stop.
