  1. That's pretty badass, right there... That's nothing but good news...
  2. @HDJim61 - you probably need to fix your recoil system. You don't need an adjustable gas block. Your gun isn't right, and that's why you think it's overgassed. Just sayin'...
  3. I think this is what you stated - can't tell because the quote was messed up. What I've highlighted in bold red above is NOT accurate information - if that came from you. Just letting you know that. I can give you a million reasons why your information is NOT accurate.
  4. SFC Alwyn Cashe has needed to be awarded this for a longass time, for what he did. It's been talk in military circles for a LONG while. That guy is a hero of heros. I didn't look into the other two guys you posted yet, but they'll be badasses, too. Biden, that fucking POS, is only doing this for optics, ratings, and "feel-goods." Fuk that guy.
  5. Since we're on a roll here... This one ain't Shawn Ryan's podcast, but it's a badass interview with John "Shrek" McPhee. The Sheriff of Baghdad. This is a funny fucking interview, and it's only 1:46 this time... This dude can tell an Army story like none other... Pay attention to about 1:11 in the vid, and the story... "I don't give a fuk about savages... When I was out alone, you know, I'd be like, Hmmm... there's 8 people in this house, I will kill EVERYBODY, take the vehicle, and I will be outta here... and it's not a thing... "
  6. You think that got by me, right?...
  7. Bro, that wasn't John's wife - that was Skip's girl, the Range Master at Dillon Aero... She was relentless! And, she gave up... You haven't met GunPusher John's wife yet. She's a redhead, and SAVAGE!...
  8. Mods/Admins - Let's get this moved to the Build Section, and out of here. Let's get all the other questions about random parts or guns out of here, too. That's not what this section is about. It's about INFORMATION of these things, that makes them run. 308 AR - What You Need To Know Compatibility, Troubleshooting and Frequently Asked Questions. This Board is "Read Only"
  9. Pistol or Carbine? If it's a Carbine, what's the length of the barrel. Hell, what's the length of the barrel if it's pistol? Suppressed or not? Welcome. Lot's more information needed to even be able to answer your question appropriately...
  10. No, no, no! Blueberry terrified me. I fucked up giving her my number, and as soon as I did, GunPusher John was shaking his head, and told me it was a mistake. We were all sitting at the same table at the bar when it happened, and he almost smacked me. Shiit, his wife started laughing... AND THAT'S JOHN'S WIFE'S SISTER!!! SHE fucked with me endlessly about giving my number to her own sister!!! Blueberry was persistent like NERVE AGENT. No way, no how, was that in "interest" in the least... There's times when you need to know to cut away, men. That was DEFINITELY one of those times... However, our local friend Brooks smashed that. When drunk, he brags. When sober, he won't acknowledge it.
  11. It is an eye opener. Scary and beautiful at the same time. Solemn experience.
  12. Yeah, fuk that drug. It made the neck and back pain go away, but I was a fucking zombie for the first 3 hours after taking it. Nope. Fuk that. "Here's the rest of the 30-day bottle Doc - you can keep it." What I went to for back and neck was an inversion table, and a daily morning pop of Glucosamine HCI 1500mg with a MSM kicker at 1500mg. Bottle says two per day, but only one in the morning has me in good shape. Right now. The shiit just supports your cartilage. And it doesn't fuk you up in the head.
  13. I'm insulted, too. If I get in a MX race with @Belt Fed, I'm gonna park him over a berm. Hard. He'll think he's got the bard, outside, fast line -and I'm coming in from the inside, dropping a gear, pinning it, and aiming for him right then... SMASH! "Oh, sorry, Bro, bad line you made..."
  14. Yep, good scope, brother. I wish I had more input, back in the day, on scope selection for @Moon Boots - I would have had her on mils right away, instead of MOA. Her scope is working, though, quite well, and she can run it.
  15. I'm in to this, brother. Did it for a long time in a Cold Weather SF Battalion. Winter Warfare exercises Jan~March, in some pretty crazy places. My best advice on clothing is C-O-L-D. Remember this acronym. Clean, Overheating, Loose, Dry. Keep your clothing Clean, (avoid) Overheating, Loose and in layers, and Dry. That's the 4 things that are wrapped up into the Number One Priority...
  16. DAMN!!! And I'm only at 2:42 right now!!! Okay... Full vid watched... HOLY SHIIT, SHE CAN SING@!!!
  17. Now THAT is a badass picture!!!
  18. You big motherfucker... Of COURSE I would! With my truck... I'm watching you from now on...
  19. That's exactly why this one is a total mess, man. I'm in agreement. Not gonna be a pretty court case. The only thing I would offer is my view, just from a video. Carruth is on his own land, at his own front door. (Observation here...)... Read (green shirt) kept escalating this, and would not stop the escalation. Carruth steps inside to grab his carbine, re-meets the threat at the front door. It goes up from there... On his own property, he should have no duty to retreat for safety. The tresspasser should leave, as asked previously. What I highlighted in red above, is exactly why I would've given that big fucker a boot straight in his sternum, and launched him straight the fuk off my porch - create distance, and time - time to reach inside, grab that carbine, and confront the threat if he still feels like coming at me. Once he can breathe again.
  20. On both counts, you're gonna be better off, man. Larger on the gas port at 0.086" over 0.083", and with the Armalite gas tube coming in longer, and going just a touch past the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper. That's better tahn being shorter, and you NOT having the gas timing that you're supposed to have. Once the BCG travels rearward, and disconnects from the gas tube, everything else vent out the ejection port anyway. You'll be alright. Correct on the length of the Armalite AR-10 Carbine gas tube - it's 12 1/16". 11 3/4" IS an AR15 Midlength gas tube. Compare the two, once your Armalite part comes in - note the difference in the bend on the two, to account for the different height-over-bore on the two platforms.
  21. It's easy - you'll be fine. Slow speed on the drill - as in, you're watching that bit turn, that slow. Watch it just bring up small pieces of steel, tiny piece at a time. It's over before you know it. The pilot hole is already there, so it's not like you're drilling through the barrel, from nothing. This is my favorite resource for drill bit sizes: https://littlemachineshop.com/reference/numberdrillsize.php You can run the 45 drill bit, at 0.082", but you might as well just use the 44 drill bit and make it 0.086" and be done. You do have the adjustable block that you can use, so it's not gonna harm anything. The higher side of the spec is better anyway, dealing with these things, and the ammo they get fed...
  22. This whole thing is a fucking mess. It's a shiit-show, completely. Carruth (black shirt, the shooter) - his ex-wife is the District Judge that oversees this case. Hmmm... Their divorce wasn't finalized until 2 weeks after the shooting happened... Hmmm again... What a clusterfuck. https://www.lubbockonline.com/story/news/2021/11/26/chad-read-shooting-kyle-carruth-lubbock-judge-case-investigation/8765295002/
  23. Berger has two good options for you, brother, for the ARC, here they are: https://bergerbullets.com/product/6-mm-108-grain-elite-hunter/ ^^^ Run Hornady 108 ELD-M data to come up with a load for that one... https://bergerbullets.com/product/6-mm-115-grain-very-low-drag-vld-hunting/ ^^^ Gonna have to run Hornady ELD-M data to load that one, and start 1.0 full grain lower, and work up... That one will take some time...
  24. Since the topic just got a comment and popped back to the top again, I'd like to offer a different perspective on this statement/question. The guy went inside, grabbed the PC Carbine, and returned to the porch to face the (obvious) threat. What would be the difference, if I had a Glock 43x under my shirt, concealed, took 4 steps backwards (away from the threat), and drew my concealed pistol to face the threat? Create distance, present firearm, face threat whilst armed... Just asking, not stirring, man. That question is for everybody, not @Doodle directly...
