  1. That thing is legit - one at the gun shop, and it gets used ALOT. For upper work, I'm stuck on Reaction Rods. Nothing better, IMHO.
  2. Been WAITING in there, so I can give you a Pants-Down Hug, brother!
  3. Second for LaRue mounts. They're better than the ARMS mounts anyway, and that goes back more than 10 years now. It was quite the battle, back in the day.
  4. No guarantee - but a possibility...
  5. That was a link to everything-Pro Mag that Brownells has - but not to a specific tool. Which one are you talking about?
  6. I cure plastic at 170* for 3 hours, brother. Magpul handgrips , magazines and stocks, that sort of thing. This one that you have would fall right in there.
  7. Hang around, they might pop up. I missed 3 sales here throughout the years (over 10 years here), but finally landed one a few years ago, on my 4th attempt.
  8. That's ^^^ your first post, man - tell the story. Welcome aboard, by the way.
  9. If he ever had those available, they'd be on my "save list" - and I'd neck that .408 CheyTac down to .375 CheyTac, turn the necks, and run it...
  10. I'm guilty, brother. Contact made.
  11. Before you buy a new barrel - let's see if this one shoots. Fix that gas port, run the gun - you never know. You might have the needle in the haystack here. Run it.
  12. ^^^ On Stage 1, with that bike. They did GREAT on it, they really did. You could easily tell who was used to moving "in a fucked up situation" and had experience, as such. There were lots of guys that just got up from the bike to "move left" to the shooting matt, and they'd damn near trip over the braces that were welded to that bastard-of-a-shooting-platform... Teaches you TWO things... Know where you are, what you have to move around - IF you have to move (and we HAD to move), but also, put your fucking gun on safe ANYTIME you have to move. That should be automatic, in your brainpan, but it isn't for alot of guys. If putting that thing on safe anytime you break position isn't ingrained in your memory, then TRAIN. The only time you move, and your gun isn't on safe - is if you're moving AND shooting at the same time - and that's 2-Way Range Rules. No other excuse. I FUCKING CRINGED every single time I saw a dude get tripped up on the braces for that bike. It wasn't pretty.
  13. That "motorcycle prop" from stage 1 - THIS was that little fucker...
  14. So, here is the stage info that we suffered through this month... It sucked, but was still a blast. (Keep clicking - they get big enough to read if you do...)
  15. Talking with @JBMatt, there were some scoring discrepancies with both he and I. He didn't get credit for some of his hits, and he noticed that on Stage 3, I was credited with 4 hits, and I really went 7 out of 8 that stage. We'll try to figure out what's up, but I don't think anything will come of it. I had a busy-ass weekend after the match, and still haven't even looked at the scores yet. I'll get the match info stage info and descriptions together and post them in here next. It was a good course. Like I said, I've never had so much fun doing an absolutely shiitty job at something...
  16. I missed that in your first post - yes, that's way too small. 20" rifle gas with a 0.750" journal diameter needs a gas port that's 0.093"~0.096". Break out the numbered drill bits and the drill...
  17. Well, we all did HORRIBLE today. Even Matt. He was just a little bit LESS horrible than the rest of us. It sucked. It was the most fun I've had all month, doing absolutely terrible job at something... I timed out on every stage, didn't clean a single stage. Came close, down to the last target or two, in a couple of them, but it was still a hoot! @JBMatt got some good pics and vids. I'll get more information in here after I look at all the info.
  18. This is My Mantra, brother. I did play Little League baseball growing up. I played football early, and you can't hit fuckers hard enough. I played soccer in high school, and was pretty decent at it. Racing BMX through junior and senior high was a game-changer for me. Earlier, though - somewhere in those early baseball days, I got my first dirtbike, and that changed everything... Ball-Sports were just never the same again, but pushing yourself individually was where it was for me...
  19. It certainly will keep your chamber cleaner if you're running suppressed, and you'll get less suppressor-gas in your face. Brass from a DI suppressed gun is hard to clean, if you reload. It's not impossible to get it clean, but it does add to the prep time. I'll give a piston system that, for sure.
  20. Hey, brother - it ain't easy being me...
  21. Scuba Steve signed up this month to shoot with us, so this will be his first match. He's shooting a 5.56 gun, and it's a blessing that he's not trying to enter Tinkerbell, and shoot bowling balls...
  22. Yep, this match is every 4th Saturday of the month. Come on out and check it out. We're Sqd 4, starts on station 4. Shoots starts at 7am.
  23. Nobody likes a Quitter. Stay your ass awake and fight it out... Pansy...
  24. I have lived that my entire life...
  25. What's your goal, and what are you looking for? End of the world ammo and guns?
