That is a bad motherfucker, Rene. You did STELLAR on that gun, brother. Hell fukkin' yeah, man.
-
Oh, make no mistake - it's been way too late - for you - for a long time. There's no way you'd GET OUT OF a pants-down hug down here... I'm willing to risk the bear paws. Made that decision long ago...

You guys should know howmuch we have to lube these giant bastards, just to run them for the first time. I wasn't using the lube above... I was using @JBMatt's gear oil treatment - and that stuff is THICK!!! When I told him about that, he thought I was nuts... After that, he made up the magic concoction, and I was testing it out for the first time on this build. Here's all I used for lube, for the first firing of the .338 Fed gun. Very first round through the gun.

The RIA VR82 that he just bought in 20ga, is a good one to buy in 12 ga. It's the VR80. https://www.armscor.com/firearms/ria-imports/shotgun-series/shotguns-mag-fed-series/vr80/

what do you guys do to maximize space in your gun safes?

^^^ He nailed it. -
The 12 is even badder - I'm just sayin'... Done shot it, and it's badass...
-
In reality, that's why I do what I do. When you get down here for the Shoot - it'll all makes sense. When you see it... what we do... I'm training future overwatch... No batteries, no GPS... You know it, or you don't know it, and you have to do it from what you know - without "devices"... It's like Land Nav, old school. Compass, protractor, and a map. There's no batteries in that skill. And no GPS to fail on you...

The best product on the market is pretty unknown - because I've failed at pushing it. We developed it, refined it, and tested it here for years, various members, various conditions, before a local gun shop in Phx picked it up. AZ Premium Gun Lube. I'll get a link in here for it later. Nothing beats it, ever. EDIT: American Guns & Ammo, Mesa, AZ. https://shop.americangunsandammo.com/parts-gear/cleaning-equipment/premium-gun-lube-2426468 ^^^ That's where to get it. You'll never get a better lube, anywhere. Try it, buy it, and if you think it sucks, send me the remainder, and I'll pay you what you had to spend, including shipping afterwards to me. I pro-rate it, too - you send me an empty bottle - then don't ask me for my money... I'm not here to fund people for used bottles... We (Matt) have years into this stuff, right here on this board, going back to 2016 and 2017 on sending out samples, and testing. If you think it sucks, I'll back that up and reimburse you for your sorrow. But not emotional bullshiit sorrow. I'm not your moneybag, but I won't leave you hanging with a bill... @JBMatt

Check Diamondback FIrearms. There are more out there, I'll find them. https://diamondbackfirearms.com/shop/db10-15-carbon-series-m-lok-handguard-with-barrel-nut-2/ Search around this site and see what they have for rails - they offer both barrel nuts. https://www.totalwartactical.com/product/308-7-62-steel-barrel-nut-18tpi-ar10-or-16tpi-lr-308/

Wolf Spider right there, brother. Those are the Good Guys.
-
Your safety is in there upside down. Just sayin'...
-
Agreed. On the M3, you ain't getting 30 rounds in that mag unless you have the steel Grease Gun mag loader. Not happening without it.
-
^^^ Indeed. Just thinking about it, the LR-20 PMag weighs damn near nothing empty, but loaded full it weighs 2lbs. That would mean a 30-rd'er would weigh 3lbs. That's gotta be tough on a mag spring. For reference, look up the spring for a 30-rd Grease Gun magazine. That's one TOUGH sonuvabitch.

Had to fix that for you. You'll never sell the safe you have for what it's worth, and drop major coin on a newer, bigger one. Just get another safe... -
Make sure you get that barrel pinned/welded with a permanent muzzle device that get it to 16", plus. Or you are a Felon at 15.999" inches of barrel, even if the device is welded... The VG6 Delta will do it - if it's permanently attached. But measure close, before you decide... Because David Chipman WILL be measuring close.

Pics 1 and 2, Russian SU-85's. Good eye, brother. EDIT - Oh shiit, one of those bitches is the Su-100...

Indeed! I have to water longer here, just to saturate enough to flush the salt through - only water for a short time, and it's just throwing salt on the grass. That natural rain water is LOADED with nitrogen - and that's why this stuff took off like it did.

I put that VG6 5.56 Gamma 2-port brake on the gun today. Matt made me get on the Sex Swing first this morning... Cold bore on the Mk12, going for the 450, I hit it on the 2nd shot. I was happy. Right after that, I took that standard A2 off there, and installed the brake, and went back after it. It was a pretty big difference... Once I was settled on the Sex Swing, it was rapid-fire 5 in a row on steel on that 450. Glad I made that change. Hell, glad those guys at the match thought that demon-trap up in the first place and made us shoot off it, or it never would have been something I noticed or thought to change... Altitude out there is 1390 feet, at the SDTF. When we started shooting, Density Altitude was around 3700 feet - it was a hot, humid morning. By the time we were finished up, around 10:30am, Density Altitude was at 4400 feet. It makes a difference. It was a hot, sticky, successful morning to test all that stuff out.

The brilliance came from Drunk Werks Garage... We talked about it on the phone, and I had metal. Tommy said he'd need about 24 pieces, once I gave him the dimensions of what I had, and I had 27 pieces. Those guys ROCKED the design on this thing - it is spectacular. Oooooh boy, and is it fun to shoot off of... Once we set it up at the Fall Shoot, it'll stay up. Whenever you want, hop on and give it a whirl... Collect your scoresheet afterwards, and just hang onto the best one.

That's why they put red straps on it... Okay, Nick... Last summer was brutal on the grass. Last winter, my Rye took off and did great. Rolling into this summer, the bermuda really didn't take off so well, with the early heat. Couple weeks ago we got dumped on with rain, FINALLY... Several days over a week. That natural, real rain water made that shiit come back in force! Now I gotta maintain it, and cut it twice a week before work.

We tested the Sex Swing this morning, and IT IS RAD! We shot off the "pro version" 2 weeks ago at the last match, LAST Saturday @JBMatt and DirtBike Tommy had this thing together. Why not test it out?... @BigNate came down to shoot with us, one of my local buddies came out, and Scuba Steve showed up with a new mortar. One HELL of a morning. Afterwards, we had some beers and pizza at a really cool local place that isn't very far from the SDTF. I know you guys have only seen a very few, sparse teaser pics from Matt - but here it is. Completely portable, easy setup and takedown, and doesn't weigh much... BADASS... We tested it on the targets at 450, 500 and 600. It's legit. Tommy gettin' BUSY! Scuba Steve has a new mortar -it shoots pool balls... He drills three holes in them, like a bowling ball, so it whistles like a bowling ball... The Sex Swing is at my place right now, and it's painted already. Just got done, and it's dry already - so back together it went... Successful day, men.

That Terminator scene right there, plus EVERYTHING that Burt Gummer has, PLUS all those dudes that give Jon Wick guns when he's "getting outfitted..."... Is what I strive to accomplish in my life. Just all combined. -
My women could go the way of coffee... Bitter and Murky. Because I have a choice, I change my coffee to Sweet and Creamy. Payback, in a way. Not why can't a find a woman like THAT?!...
-
We gonna test thing this OUT in a few more hours!!!

I love happy endings...
