I need to count your ammo out here, too - you have a PILE. There's definitely no 6.5C in it though... -

Do I need to break out the old videos, you on semi, me on bolt, double-tagging targets at night?... Double-Trouble... -

Then, I need to turn you into a bolt-gun guy, too. I'm in. It would be my honor, for you, brother... I WANT that gun to whip everyone's ASS! -
In these times, brother - that's ALL that counts.

My .260 Rem gas gun has been a particular-embarrasser for certain 6.5C bolt guns in the past - at distance. Ruger RPRs have fallen victim to it. I'll be curious as to how this all works out in the fall... TIc-TACT-Toe at 450 at night will be the tell-all... -
Perfect place for this one. I love Noveske. My Mk12 Mod 0 gun is a Noveske set.

JUST IN TIME... for Arizona... Doug Ducey, Governor - LORD DUCEY throughout this Corona-Bullshiit... might have saved the bait here. This might get a bit Spicey, depending on what JoeBama states tomorrow. This was signed in TODAY, Wednesday, 7 Apr 21. https://patriotdailypress.org/2021/04/07/arizona-gov-doug-ducey-signs-bill-to-defy-any-new-federal-gun-control-laws/ Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signs bill to defy any new federal gun control laws April 7, 2021 Republican Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona signed a bill on Tuesday that would ban local governments and employees from enforcing or aiding any infringement on gun rights imposed by the federal government. House Bill 2111 was passed by the Arizona House and Senate in an attempt to preempt any new regulation of guns by the Biden administration. “The state of Arizona and its political subdivisions are prohibited from utilizing any financial resources or state personnel to administer, cooperate with or enforce any law, act, order, rule, treaty or regulation of the federal government that is inconsistent with any law of this state regarding the regulation of firearms,” read the text of the legislation. Biden has promised to seek a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines in the wake of several mass killings after he assumed office. Critics of the bill included Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone who said there was a “political motivation” behind it. “It’s one of those emotional issues but as far as the impact on law enforcement, it will create confusion or challenges more than benefits or protecting the Second Amendment,” Penzone said to KTAR radio on Thursday. Others say that the law will lead to litigation that will have to be paid with taxpayer money. Moms Demand Action, a gun control advocacy group, gathered over 2,400 signatures opposing the bill and presented them to Ducey’s office hours before he signed it into law. Democratic Arizona state Sen. Lisa Otondo assured gun owners that their rights were safe. “Nobody is trying to take away your guns, not for the protection of your family, your property, nor your Second Amendment right to own them,” Otondo said. Despite those assurances, gun sales have skyrocketed first over fears of instability from the pandemic lockdowns and later when President Joe Biden was elected. My notes on that above ^^^. Paul Penzone is a POS DEM Maricopa County Sherriff, that beat out Sheriff Joe - and Sheriff Joe NEVER took any shiit from the Fed Gov, EVER. Penzone is a fucking politician. Not a County Sheriff. All the other shiit-talkers about Lord Ducey's decision today... are all DEMS?!... weird, huh...

Well, by this time tomorrow, I'll be a Felon x8, just based on AR Pistols that have braces. I'm eager to see how this works out as well. Bring it, JoeBama, and let's see what your solution is for instantly making "Felons out of Law Abiding Citizens..."

If he's gona fuk around with ARs, I'd highly suggest looking into RealAvid for AR tools. They're pretty comprehensive, in their big kit. After that, with ARs, tell him to just drop the money on a couple Geissele Reaction Rods - one for 5.56, and one for .308. Buy a MagPul Armorers wrench. No kidding. With that setup, he could do just about anything to any AR that walks into his shop. EDIT - P.S. Buy a Wilton vise.

He gives me free interest on a trigger that I've owed him for about 1.5 years now. Or more... One of these days, he's gonna show up again, and I need to produce that damn trigger... Or he'll go all Mob-Boss on me...

The chicks tell you that, too?... Just wondering... -
Just use @Belt Fed's card to get your ass out here. I'm sure he's good for it...

It sucks what I went through, with all the lies and bullshiit with DCS here. They're corrupt as fuk. They'll do anything for money, and they proved it in court. Sucks for sure, and she'll be 4 this coming August. I have a Crickett Precision Rifle that she'd be fitting into about that time. Fuk AZ DCS, and especially Maricopa County DCS. I hope one day that their corruption is blown wide open.

I couldn't leave this one alone, right here...

Sleepy JoeBama is gonna throw 5 or 6 Executive Orders tomorrow on Gun Control. Strong reporting throughout the community is that Pistol Braces are in his crosshairs. We'll see what happens. I'll dig up some articles, and post them in here.

I'd wash it out completely, let it dry, then spray the inside of it to DEATH with a can of brake cleaner - then let that dry. After that, I'd hot-water the hell out of it, and let that dry, just to make sure. Overkill is overkill - but powder contamination would SUCK to find out, when you pull the trigger...
-
Let us know what that buffer weighs...

You come out to one of my shoots, and all those questions will go away, and you'll understand that scope completely. I guarantee that. I'll give you a double-your-money-back guarantee on that one.

First time out with .308 build - major issues
98Z5V replied to Black_Sheep's topic in General Discussion
I took their comments as "interesting," to say the best. Does that mean that Wilson Combat ONLY sets up their guns to run with Carbine Recoil Systems, and they're ONLY running 3.8oz buffers in 7.000" internal depth extensions? And what does "AR-10 spring" mean to them? What AR-10 spring?... There's only ONE AR-10 spring, and that's the Armalite EA-1095 spring, period. From what you described for your spring measurements, that's not the EA-1905 spring, nowhere close... MAYBE... Wilson Combat is talking about a 3.8oz AR15 H1 Carbine Buffer, which would require a receiver extension that's 7 5/8" internal depth, because that buffer is 3.250" long, and won't work in a 7.000" deep extension. Then, and only then, they could use the Armalite EA-1905 spring. But, the H1 buffer is still too light. Needs to be the H3, at 5.4oz... So, my real question is - if they're drilling their gas ports for that recoil system... then what happens when a customer wants a Rifle Recoil System?... That's a 9 11/16" internal depth receiver extension, with a buffer that's 5.200" long, and that buffer weighs 5.4oz... So, then the gun doesn't run right, because the proper (ONLY) Rifle Recoil System fuks it up, because they're drilling the gas ports too small?... Hmmm... They need to get their mentality right. They're missing the mark here. Someone throws a Rifle Recoil System in one of their guns, and it's gonna act like it's under-gassed, due to the increased buffer weight. Hell, it IS under-gassed, for proper buffer weight... From the old days... Deep Thoughts, By Jack Handey... -
That sucker went into the 12.5" 6 ARC, brother. I'm gonna have to pick up a couple more... I couldn't help it, and I told myself I wasn't gonna do it.

Toss that entire recoil system, and put in the Armalite AR-10 Carbine Recoil System. It's one part number to order, and it's the easiest, cheapest way to do this. This is what you're after: https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=AR10REKIT01&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/AR10-Parts-Accessories/Lower-Receiver-Parts&Category=ac614400-ff09-4cdf-9d35-419a654e7201 That gas port diameter does need to be 0.085" for that gun to run right. Numbered Irwin bits from any old Ace Hardware will do it. Look for a #44 drill bit. Here's a reference chart for numbered bit sizes: https://littlemachineshop.com/reference/numberdrillsize.php Make sure your gas tube ends directly in the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver, just like that pic that's in the link that #dpete posted above. -
Here you go, brother - hit up Tech Note #78 in this link: There used to be another one, about slightly bending the springs, to drop the weight even more, but I can't find that one right now. Maybe Pat can point that one out.
-
They put the 2-Stage National Match trigger in all the T models. @mrraley has the tuning notes on that trigger up in his archives. I tweaked mine a little, and it REALLY is a nice trigger. I'll go find the Tech Note on tuning that trigger and post it in here. Awesome score, brother - I was afraid you were gonna miss it...

^^^ Badass score, brother @shooterrex I'll update my 12.5" build thread - I worked that thing to death with ammo last weekend, to settle that barrel in... It sucked, initially, trying to zero a brand new gun and barrel, but it got it's shiit straight after about 100 rounds. 3.5 mils at 450 yards, and it finally settled in at night, on that 450 night target. After that, it learned who was the boss... I'm sure it's gonna pick up some speed in the next hundred rounds - but I didn't waste any of the handloads on it last weekend, after it pissed me off initially.,.
