@DustBuster, you seem like you're on the path that you are going to REFUSE to learn lessons that people have been learning here for more than 10 years now. You just REFUSE to listen to most of the information that's given to you - FREE, that you need to keep in mind. FREE to you. You just ignore it, and you argue it, or combat it - every response from you. On that note, I'm done, with anything that you have to say here. All of it. I'm not getting into it anymore. I wish you luck on your gun, and I wish you luck in the psychosis of "looking for problems" that don't even exist in the first place. I wish you well. Good luck on your gun.

GO shoot the damn gun already - for real, and not pretend. Stop over-thinking this shiit, already.
-
Not unless you see it happen. Drag your ass out here already, brother. COME ON MAN!

Handloaded 5.56 77gr Sierra MatchKings - because I can't make them realize that the Hornady 75gr HPBTs are slightly superior. Decade of testing between the two, and they still don't get it. I almost swiched DirtBike Tommy, though - gave him 10 rounds to shoot... It rocked him. 75 or 77, through a 5.56 gun. Don't you let ANYONE tell you that you can't drive that thing accurately to 850 or 1k yards. You certainly can. Get that bitch to 2750fps through an 18" barrel, and that's where the magic happens. Everytime. DirtBike Tommy's loads were 2700fps - before suppressor - and I know that's what kicked it over the top. Come shoot with me, you Hooker... The SDTF will leave you speechless...
-
Well, last weekend, we just put a 16" LaRue 5.56 gun out to 1000 yards, on target. If you can't do that with a 16" .308 Win AR, then you got issues...

This is worth watching. Johnny Cash on doing a Trent Reznor song... Hurt, by NIN. Trent Reznor now has stated that Johnny did it better, and it's his song now... That's TWO class acts, right there - both those guys.
-
Nah, don't waste the time. I'll send you my shipping address. Take that pain off your shoulders right now...
-
Eh, it's a piece of shiit. I'll give you what you paid for it...

for those things, Cliff, I use a Lyman VLD inner chamfer tool - that's supposed to be for case NECKS... I hit those nasty-crimped primer pockets with that thing for a good 3 or 4 twists - and that crimp, and all evidence of it, are long gone. Primers go in after that. This is the tool: https://www.lymanproducts.com/case-prep-multi-tool

First time out with .308 build - major issues

It'll run. -
There are no "clicks" in a 2-stage trigger - there's a wall of pressure that you feel when you pull the trigger. 2.5lbs first stage, 4.5lbs second stage - example. It takes 2.5lbs of pressure to start the trigger movement, then it STOPS. There's no "click." From that point, you are at BANG, with more pressure, and it would take an additional 2lbs of pressure to set the hammer off. 2.5/4.5 trigger is the example. The only distinct "clicks" you're ever see in a multi-pull weight trigger would be from a Set Trigger. A Set Trigger is not what AR 2-Stage triggers are. Pretty big difference. In my VERY Humble Opinion, you just need to go shoot your gun, and stop worrying about all the nonsense that's corroding your brainpan. You're spending alot of time worrying about things that are imaginary, and asking questions about those imaginary things - that aren't grounded in reality one bit. Again, my $0.02. Shoot your gun.

There's some tolerance-stacking issues somewhere with the recoil system parts that you're using, or else something is blatantly out of spec. Quarters are 0.069" thick. Goes into the extension first, then you insert the spring and buffer. Love to see the exact specs and dimensions of what you're running for the recoil system. P.S. Always start an adjustable gas block WIDE OPEN, and ratchet it down a notch at a time, until it doesn't lock back on one-round-in-a-mag. Then you go back that one setting, or two, and you're done. You burn less ammo that way, and it's a much more effecient way of setting an adjustable gas block.

"Shine your light on this earth while you can..." Powerful song, listening to the message it delivers. Even better that it's coming from Disturbed. Amazing song, on so many levels. Take your time with your friends, make the most of it, and never look back. Taking the time with your friends is the most important thing - doesn't matter what you accomplish during that time together - just that you WERE together. That's always the best part. I truly cherish the time I get with you guys - it's important to me.

And then... you have Andie Case...

Here's another dude in the same vein as Rag'n'Bone Man. Equally as badass, and not what you'd expect, if you're just hearing it. Teddy Swims. Never underestimate people, my brothers, just by looks. And never underestimate someone's voice. Unreal.
-
Here's how big this guy has gotten. He has PInk in one of his vids.
-
Not the guy that you'd think would be singing this - when you only listen to it. This dude has been rocking this for years. He has a ton of vids up now. Much respect.
-
You tease... That wasn't the question, but that works, too...

We called the Rep late at night on a Drunk Dial last year at the Fall Shoot, and he answered, during a late-as-hell night shoot. "Tom just shot out the illum on his .260 Rem scope!" His answer was "Just send it back and I'll warranty it out - the one on his .260 Rem is a first gen, so he'll get the new one with the stainless internals and the improved zero-stop!" So, first - he knew exactly what scope I had on my gun. Second, zero hesitation in giving me the new one, with the improved internals. Then third - I JUST PUT IN A NEW BATTERY, and it was still fucked... And we called him. Send that bitch in, get the new scope, for Free-Fiddy Free. I put in one of MY OWN new batteries - and it lit right up. So I felt guilty about sending that scope in, just to get the new stuff. We called him again the next day, and told him about it - over a weekend. He still answered... Spilled the deal that I got a bad battery, thought the scope was fucked, and it's a false alarm. He said to send it in anyway, but I felt guilty, and told him no - it's still working. I'll give you guys 7 guesses where I got that battery from, after the first kill on the battery... That led to the call in the first place...

I'll just drop this right here...

I support, fully, keeping the local dealers in business - that's why I pushed GunPusher John to become an Athlon Dealer. Push your guy the same way, brother. For real. John sells Athlons left and right, and is constantly ordering now. They fly out of the display cases.

You can either wait 'til Fall, and shoot my 12.5" 6 ARC, and check it out for yourself - or you can trust me, and get the MOA one. It's a bad little scope - and it's got more magnification than the ones you're listing, it's got a no-holds-barred lifetime warranty, and it's a fuk-load cheaper than the other stuff that you're listing. Oh, and it does more. I'm just sayin'...
-
If I was you, in your shoes, I'd buy an Athlon. No joke. I just put this bitch on my 12.5" 6 ARC, and it is BAD!... 2~12 magnification, FULL lit reticle, I can turn the mag up in 2x and run that thing like a red-dot, and I dialed it down low enough to smack the fuk out of the 450-plate at night, with wind. This is the one that I got, in MILS of course: https://athlonoptics.com/product/helos-btr-gen2-2-12x42-dmr-scope/ Ranging built in, at the bottom. What's not to like? Now, wait a minute, before you blow me off!!! THEY OFFER THIS SAME THING IN MOA, FOR THE GUYS THAT DON'T LIKE MILS, OR JUST CAN'T FIGURE THEM OUT!!!! BECAUSE ATHLON ROCKS!!! Here's this little hooker - 2~12 mag, 42mm objective, badass reticle in a DMR scope. For a DMR rifle that you're building, right?... Check it: https://athlonoptics.com/product/helos-btr-2-12x42-ahmr2-ffp-ir-moa/

OKay, I gotta say this... THEN WHY DON'T YOU CLEAN YOUR DAMN GUNS, BROTHER?!!?...
