  1. No, it's not the same as the Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system, nowhere close. 7.000" internal depth receiver extensions are AR15 parts, adapted to fit .308ARs. The major adaptation is a shorter (2.500") carbine buffer and whatever spring whatever manufacturer tells you is their "AR-10 Carbine Spring" - which will end up being bullshiit... Armalite AR-10 Carbine system was developed with a 3.250" Carbine buffer with three tungsten weights in it (aluminum body), and it weighs 5.4oz. The Armalite AR-10 Carbine Receiver extension is 7 5/8" internal depth - proper length extension for a 3.250" buffer. The spring is the Armalite EA1095, and they use the same spring in both Rifle recoil systems and Carbine recoil systems, and it works like a champ. Armalite developed this AR-10 Carbine Recoil system, before they developed the AR15 Carbine recoil system. With the shorter BCG- length in the AR15, they realized that they wanted to use the same buffer body (3.250"), but with steel weights in it instead of tungsten - giving it a weight of 3.0 oz. That was the AR15 carbine buffer, developed first, as the most important part of the recoil system. Next was, what receiver extension length will that need? 7.000" internal depth carbine receiver extension (official Armalite AR15 Carbine Receiver Extension depth is 6 15/16"...). After that, they developed a proper AR15 carbine recoil spring... The AR-10 Carbine Recoil System is far different than using AR15 receiver extensions, 2.500" buffer that you can only get a max weight of 3.8oz with the aluminum bodies, and a garbage spring, probably from an AR15 as well... My $0.02...
  2. That is FANTASTIC NEWS!!!
  3. OP, you can ship anything you want out of state, FFL-to-FFL. Find a dealer in your destination that that will accept it, preferrably close to where you're arriving. Whether or not NY "allows" you to get it shipped back to you after that trip - is all on NY laws. That's all up to your state, and that's on you. I certainly wouldn't "rent" you a gun for any trip. Full price paid, whatever - what am I out? I have no way of knowing where that gun goes, you get mugged or shot, run off the road by gang-bangers on the trip, just because you "passed them on the highway..." gun stolen at that point... used in a murder after that... I'm the one explaining, after my FFL is called by BATFE. I'm the one that has to explain where my gun went, and why... No Bueno. Not happening. Hope that makes sense. I hope nobody here "rents you a gun" at full price of the firearm. It's not worth it. Don't blame us -blame your state laws on this shiit...
  4. DAMN! That was badass!!!

She's gonna cap you one of these days for comments like that. I've know you guys for 15 years-ish now? You better check under your pillow for that bamboo cutting board when you go so sleep, brother. Know where your ladders and step ladders are - check to see if they "came into the bedroom" for some reason - as well as any bowling balls she "seems interested in" lately..." I'm just sayin... I know this from experience... You see a ladder in the bedroom, better ask what she had to get up there to paint...
  6. Pretty much sums it up perfectly. mainstream American will never catch up, though - they're already too far gone, too rainwashed, and too fucked-in-the-head. "Free-Shiit" is all they think about now, based on all this history. I refuse to take care of the "free shiit"motherfuckers, by working MY ass off. They can work, too. Fuk them.
  7. Hell, you had boots on, not flip-flops - you were safe, nothing to complain about, right? You get after it... It's hilarious that you didn't know that @WestGaDad even HAD that pic...
  8. It's all good - you do you, girl... Let it fly... I had a street racer grudge-match money maker come in with a Honda CRB-1000RR bike, and he wanted Nitrous. Dry-shot is a waste of money, so I quoted that guy for a full-on wet-shot setup, and he went for it. Never "rode the lightening" in his life. I got done with the setup, called him, he came in on a Saturday to pick up the bike - in a tank top, fucking shorts and FLIP-FLOPS... He lived 60 miles away. NO sunglasses, either... Zero eye protection... ... Thought I'd never see the bike again, or the guy again. Dead man on his way home... For sure... His homie brought the bike back on MONDAY. Blew it up over the weekend, wrecked the #3 cly, valves trashed, nitrous bottle EMPTY. Rebuilt the engine on his dumbass dime, taught him how to shoot Nitrous on the way out the door, sent him on his way, never heard from him again... You can't fix some people... I hope he's still taking street money with that bike...
  9. She's so busted... She's so busted...
  10. Only thing worse woulda been a Lab, with that fatass tail, knocking shiit outta the park!...
  11. That's not entirely true - I live in a SnowBird state. Canadians everywhere once the weather cools. They buy guns locally all the time. They have a state resident ID, and that's how they do it. Legal.
  12. I wouldn't do it, honestly - because of background. 4473s carry weight, in the worst cases, and the gun is used in a crime. Once a SN is traced, and the originating FFL of that SN is identified - that FFL has 30 minutes to answer BATF on who they transferred it to, originally. "get your ass out of bed, go get your books, give us the information, etc." No joke. After that, it's a BATF crapshoot. Contact original owner called, "you still own the gun," etc...
  13. That's a pretty damn big acquisition, right there!
  14. You're not the only one - there's alot of us here that are in Rob's ass about that beast... I was looking forward to some T&E during Fall Shoot, but Anniversary, et al. He could FFL transfer it to my Gun Pusher here - Rob's his own FFL. Gun Pusher signs it out, we shot it for the weekend, etc. Gun Pusher sends it back to him - because he's his own FFL. We could T&E this beast, proper. @Rsquared is already doing it - shipping the Barret MRAD out here early, so I can custom-tailor a 285gr load for that big bitch, prior to the shoot. Custom ammo for the gun that deserves it the most, right now. This fucker is going 1760 this year. I'm just sayin'...
  15. That is indeed the problem here, and thanks for explaining it. In the states that you'll visit - you won't catch any shiit for having a gun. NY is what's fucking you here...
  16. That's a badass little caliber - if you shoot AR500 steel, be ready. It makes dents...
  17. That part has been cracked now - fixed. Any other issues, let it be known in this section: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/60-site-news-and-support/
  18. Right?! This thing better show up to the Fall Shoot... Could be .338 Lapua Mag, too...
  19. Shiit just got real...
  20. You'll laugh - but I have some already. I have a parts-box from hell, and I can break an anvil in a sandpit. I'm a shiit-magnet for things like that... Spare parts are already stocked... This is on the top of my bump-helmet...
  21. @Robocop1051 should make a call to Sprinco... He was in the rolling Gang Of Five that was hanging out in that booth then... Holy shiit was that a blast. Call up Sprinco, brother. We need to get more info on the adjustable buffer kit they were pimping anyway. Or, with your permission, I can call them. I'll make it a Comedy Call, all the way, too... "Who the EFF was the guy that looked like a cop/paramilitary contractor with the Porn Star mustache?! HE'S A MARKETING GENUIS AND A PEOPLE PERSON FROM HELL!!!"
  22. Nice! You rock, woman!!! I still need to find that guy that rep'd them at SHOT Show last year... He IS their GoldMine!!!
  23. In AZ, if you're open carrying a pistol on your hip, while you're on a bike - you look just like alot of other people in AZ. That's 100% legal here, if you're 100% legal to do it. Hell, in AZ, if you're concealing - it's legal here, if you're a legal gun owner. I must be missing something here, because you're visiting NM, CO, UT, AZ, and you stated that order. You're legal in UT, and you'll be legal in AZ. What am I missing about NM and CO here? Where are you coming from, to land in NM?...
  24. It's more than just hitting the banners every once in awhile, brother. If everyone here just hits a banner link when they wanna look something up, it helps the site tremendously. However, fire up the site sponsors when you get a chance. @Peachey just did this when she asked a company about a product, then mentioned that she found it (it was recommended by) us right here. That's a tremendous help. Check this out - look at the updates in the Site Sponsors and Advertisers Section - just read what's going on: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/81-sponsors-and-advertisers/
