  1. ^^^ That's the answer on just about any scoped AR, small frame or large frame. Extended charging handles make an immense difference on a scope AR. They should all be that way, IMHO. .308ARs are gonna be harder to charge - that's just their nature. Heavier spring than AR15 parts.
  2. I pretty much made up the same thing, bufferwise for my .260 Rem. I had the DSG bodied buffer weighed at 5.15oz, and another hybrid combo at 5.7oz (for 2.500" buffers). In the .260, sometimes the 5.7 wouldn't lock back - maybe a touch too heavy, I was thinking? I swapped in the DSG hybrid at the 5.15, and I've never had another problem. In my case, I know what it is, with that 5.7 buffer - that Wilson Combat .260 barrel had a 0.070" gas port, and I know in my heart that thing needs to be 0.080." That's the difference with those buffers. That gun comes apart for paint soon, so....
  3. @Rsquared, I need to make a phone call to you, but here's the short version - would you want to ship the MRAD out here, FFL to FFL two weeks early - send it to GunPusher John? He (We) could then take it out the couple weeks before the shoot commences, and I can truly make a custom load for it, and those 285s... Just something to ponder...
  4. Ahem! Uh, guys... Well, I need to tell y'all something. Ah, nevermind... Oh yeah? You think? I THINK you've forgotten what you've sent, and I might need to update the pic again... It better be... @Robocop1051 needs to answer that one. I want some time on the 500 Blackout, videos everywhere, all that... Got my work address, brother? Send powder there - shiit send it all there. We won't have issues with it that way, those stupid "hazmat says it has to be shipped..." bastards...
  5. I've got a Nordic Comp 18" barrel in my original Mk12 Mod 0, it's the only one I own, and I completely agree with you - that thing shoots super tight groups, perfect fit and finish. Definitely an impressive barrel. Too bad they don't make that profile anymore, or I'd definitely recommend it for 5.56. They do very good barrels.
  6. That is still a completely viable option, brother - that will work.
  7. 3rd evening in a row, including tonight. I've been trying to respond to this thread: Here's where it takes me when I hit "submit reply: https://308ar.com/

    WTF?!!?
  14. You catch the part about the fishing?...
  15. WEG, Most of this is going to come down to the gas system, and the recoil system. Those two systems are what primarily control the entire (balanced) timing of the gun's operation.

"Crock-Pot" brand. Just this little cheap guy right here, to get you started. You don't need anything fancy, and you don't even need that little "dip warmer" that this one comes with. https://www.samsclub.com/p/8qt-slow-cooker-with-little-dipper/prod20202004?pid=ps_2030345492&wl0=b&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=355134916051&wl4=dsa-36007448126&wl5=9030019&wl6=&wl7=&wl15=70737718966&wl16=&wl17=1t3&veh=sem&kclid=b089b3c3-6676-43b6-b06c-d6e367e51df9&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi-nW6vDp4wIVCv5kCh2GAglnEAAYAyAAEgIhSfD_BwE

I need to send you an 8-qt oval crockpot, brother. You're missing out.
  19. We need to build you something like this... For "FullEffect"... If we're going bling-tastic, like the painted pistols from last year, then... You gotta go bigger... Like this...
  20. ^^^ Ruger American rifle, right there...
  21. Both of those are GREAT Grendel barrels...
  22. The power of a County Sheriff cannot be understated, and he was one HELL of a County Sheriff. I remember seeing the movie in a Drive In...
  23. You don't need a 20 incher, brother - that's WAY overkill for a Grendel. This Grendel barrel right here is NUTS!!! Accurate!!! https://ballisticadvantage.com/18-inch-65-grendel-spr-rifle-ss-premium-barrel.html I own one, built two - the other one is @Matt.Cross' Grendel Mk12 Mod 1. Those barrels fuckin' ROCK...
