  1. You got another vid of her riding that skateboard?...

Crock-Pot those bitches, sliced into 4 pieces each, on top of a big pork or beef roast. Damn, that's good, letting them soak in over time... Tell me when you need the recipe.
  3. The only extensions I've used are either VLTOR RE10/A5SR or RE-A5, or the Armalite AR-10 Carbine extension. I'm positive that the BCM Intermediate and the MagPul SR25/M110 extensions are complete top quality, and right on the money. I think there's only been one of each here, from different people, but both spec'd out perfectly. The only other option that I know of, for a true, verified 7 5/8" internal-depth carbine receiver extension is @Robocop1051 - he makes his own.
  4. That's what I wanted to ask, too...
  5. Yes, you can. There's 4 weighs in a VLTOR A5 buffer - that's how many fit. That's all I run in the Grendels, and 4 buffers are the 4.56oz A5H1 buffers, 1 is 5.33oz A5H2 buffer - it rocks, and really works great. Not great enough to buy 4 more H2s, though, and replace those H1s. It's a great system for Grendel, either of those buffer weights.
  6. Nice - you're in small company here, with the 25-45. How far have you been able to stretch that one out, so far? I got mine out to 850 yards, but it was WORK. It was 17-something mils of drop out there. It would have been alot easier on me, if I had a LaRue LT-158 mount, with the 10-MOA built in, but I had this scope mounted in an Aero Precision straight mount. I dialed all I could, and held the rest. Brutal. More pics of that one, and a detailed writeup of the parts, would be awesome.
  7. YOUR receiver extensions was one of those 8.000" internal depth PSA Carbine extensions, brother - THAT THING WAS WAY FUCKED UP!!!... "PA-10" etched right into the bottom of it, too. Still have pics of it. We got it to run, for the shoot, though - and made the damn thing work, so you could shoot your gun. But I'm not a Gunsmith...
  8. He can say whatever he wants - and doesn't know what he's talking about in the first place, I'm sure. Even though he's the "Senior Design Engineer" for PSA... What they put up in the vid says it all. It says it all... I put my own highlights in, just so it won't be missed... Time hacks are right there, so everyone else can see it, too... Just click this vid: And look for this, at this time hack... There is ONE "AR-10" buffer spring, and it's the Armalite EA1095 spring. Period. There isn't any other "AR-10 buffer spring" in existence. Ever... I love this....
  9. That would make a "reliable rifle for almost any ammunition type," yes. However, it seems like they're trying to use the "Race Gun" approach and apply it to budget guns, in order to save a few bucks here and there. It'll never work... It's not a Race Gun... which would only shoot one type of hand-loaded ammo in the first place, for competition only...
  10. Here's some of my .260 Rem load development, with 130 Sierra Game Kings... I stopped right here, back to the drawing board. Here's some Barnes 120 TSX load development in the .260 Rem. Sticking with this:
  11. I wanna see 3.0oz carbine buffer to see if it's "cured." It might be harsh as hell to shoot like that, kick like a pissed-off ex-wife, carbine buffer and 0.110" gas port - but if it works... Then that gun just isn't liking the 5.4oz rifle buffer, or that spring tension. Take a steel weight outta that buffer, and insert a piece of 1/2" delrin in it's place, problem might be solved - drop that buffer weight just a tad, in his gun... Or, punch that 0.110" gas port to 0.112"?... He's so close. It's one of the other, based on his failure descriptions... Dissipators - TRUE Dissipators - are fucking unicorns... There's no magic formula, but there's damn sure a baseline to start getting them to work. They'll all be different, in some way...
  12. Here's how I see this whole shiit-show with SS... "I'm an ASE Certified Mechanic!!! Yeah, well. Tune my1500hp 2JZ build then...Just got it in the frame yesterday. "I'm a GUNSMITH!!!" Hey, saw the sign outside. Have a problem with my fire control group, it's sticking a little. You can fix this, right?... Running towards the "Gunsmith" safety corner or cry-closet, and claiming all your years working on hundreds of different firearms, does not make you an expert in any single weapons platform - unless you only "gunsmithed" on one platform those 40 years.
  13. You're on a 0.110" gas port, right brother? From his cycling description, he is SO CLOSE to full-function...
  14. It's "Wild Jungle Monkey Sex," or "Someone's gettin' the SHIIT beat out of them!!!" There are rare times when it's the combination of BOTH... When it's THAT.... That's WAY BETTER than trying to ride a live bull... (Not that gay mechanical bull bullshiit, either... HORNS, fuckin' BALLS all tied up - pissed off beef...)
  15. Here's your "functional test" right here. That thing needs to take up 2 11/16" of space in the receiver extension, in order to "make a rifle extension = an AR15 Carbine extension." Measure it. If you had to stack quarters, that's about 38 or 39 quarters to test this.... Carbine buffer, carbine buffer spring... Don't use the rifle buffer spring...
  16. That is KILLIN' YA, right there. That's a 5.4oz rifle buffer. That's your problem. Drop to any AR15 carbine buffer, with a spacer, and that thing will RUUUUUUUUN!... I think Spike's tactical makes a spacer, but I'm sure others do to. You need to take up enough internal depth to go from a 9 11/16" internal depth of a rifle receiver extension, to 7.000" internal deoth of the standard AR15 carbine extension, and just plop any regular AR15 carbine buffer in there.
  17. What was the diameter before you opened it up? FWIW, you're close, at 0.110, based on what you're saying it's doing. Max you can go is 0.125", because that's the max opening in a gas tube - anything bigger gains you nothing, becaise the gas tube becomes the restriction. What buffer are you running (weight)?... What's your recoil system look like, as far as parts go... carbine, rifle, specific parts, etc...
  18. Very dramatic, IMHO... Much drama...
  19. And Tequila accelerates all of that...

    DAMN!!!
  21. This is a true Dissipator, right? Rifle gas on a 16" barrel? This is a gas issue. Like, not enough gas, from a small gas port diameter. But, what do I know, since I'm not a real Gunsmith...
  22. We've seen plenty - PLENTY - of evidence here of guys that show up (on this board) with a gun that doesn't run, after they've been "fixed" by their local "gunsmith." We've had people right here on this board with issues that we caught instantly - WAY wrong gas tube, right off the bat, comes to mind. They come back later talking about how their "gunsmith" was soooo sorry, he didn't even know there was a difference between the DPMS-based platform, and the Armalite AR-10 platform... Gunsmith, I'll remind you. I kid you not. Just because you're a "gunsmith" doesn't automatically mean you know EVERYTHING. I'd ask any gunsmith, "How much experience do you have on the basic AR platform, and how much experience on the large-frame AR platform(s) - because there are several. Just because the guy can make an AK out of rivets and sheetmetal, doesn't mean he can work on an AR and fix it. Just because a guy can make an entire 1911 from blocks of steel, with handtools, and it turns out to be a true competition gun - doesn't mean he can fix an AR with a problem. I've been to a SIG pistol armorer's course - and I have a Ruger LC9 kicking my ass right now. It took me 10 minutes to learn everything I every needed to know about every single Glock Gen that's out there... Just because a guy might be ASE Certified as a "true mechanic" doesn't mean he can put a larger turbo on your racecar, larger injectors, and tune it - through custom EFI software... You might find a guy that's a certified Porsche technician - that doesn't mean he can fix his neighbor's broke-down Saturn... These are just machines, nothing more. They can't out think us. But, familiarity with ONE machine, or 20 machines - doesn't mean you know everything about every machine... I fixed a diesel tractor, and a NIssan-powered forklift, from basic engine knowledge (well, not so "basic,", but training). I couldn't rebuilt a single-cylinder trash pump, and make that POS pump water - it kicked my ass. I hope that makes sense...
  23. 1907 slings and cheapass web slings with the two buckles - HAD their place, WAY back in the day. You old fuckers seem like you want to say that the technology and change is unnecessary, and BS. Well, that mentality is BS... You can bag on shiit all you want, talk about your web slings and 1907s all you want. Some of the options of the modern slings make one hell of a difference over the old shiit- and some are far, far superior nowadays. Go ahead, though - adjust the rabbit ears on top of your TV as night falls, and the signal changes - just because it was starting to get fuzzy. Or, just rotate that click-knob to the next channel... My 1907 sling belongs on my M1904A4 rifle. The skinny-ass little 1" wide green cotton web sling belongs on my M1 Carbine. I wouldn't put either one of those on any of my M4s, though.
