Shouldn't have to do that on an Armalite setup - it's constructed the same everytime. This is the second time I've seen one (recently) that might need to go in another turn, though. Might have to notch the bottom a little, to clear the buffer retainer, when it's another full turn in. Very light cuts with a Dremel Chainsaw Sharpening Bit does the trick, in short order. Take a little off - test it. Repeat if necessary. Just a small notch is all it takes, nothing giant, or you ruin it. Pics of what it looks like right now will help tremendously.

He attacked the second mosque at "about" 1:55pm. 15 minutes, shot to shot, different locations, 3 miles apart. I've got the video -downloaded it while it was up, briefly, and saved. The video is 16:55 long. He doesn't fire his first shot at Al Noor until 6:38 in the video. He left Al Noor at 12:24 in the video, when he drove away. He's driving at the end of the video, at 16:55. Al Noor is 3 miles from Linwood. He was driving for 4 minutes, 31 seconds. While he's driving, he stops to shoot at more people. At 13:13, he fires a round out the right-side window, and the glass doesn't break ("pop and no-kick" there, misfire?...)... and the next round at 13:17 IS a misfire. The shot at 13:20 blows out the glass on the right side of his car. 13:22 is him firing an empty chamber, and speeding away from that site, along his route. From 13:22 to 16:55, he's moving at pretty good speed, and only turns once, into a right hand turn lane, right when the vid ends. He did have traffic along the way, multiple stops, but his speed was up. So, he left Al Noor at 12:24 in the vid, and vid ends at 16:55. 4 minutes, 31 seconds. He stopped to shoot at people for (12:50 to 13:25, and he revs out of there). That's 35 seconds. So, 4 minutes, 31 seconds to the end of the vid, when he left Al Noor, and the video ends. His total drive time (for a distance of 3 miles) was that, minus the 35 seconds of shooting along the way = 3:56 of drive time, for 3 miles, at the speeds he could make - minus the traffic he incurred. The shootings were 15 minutes apart. The vid ended right whe he was turning into a right-hand turn lane, and I don't know what street that was on, or how close to the second shooting location this was (Linwood). Something is not right here, with the two locations, and the time. It's not making any sense. Something is not right with this second shooting location. That's the way I see it. There's some shady shiit going on with this second shooting location, and the blame on the asshead that did this at the first shooting location. It doesn't add up...

My barrel was way less than that, brother - WAY LESS. Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter 20" barrel, standard retail $335. I nailed it on a sale for $280. The .260 blows away every gun I have (minus one), at my standard target distance of 850 yards. My 18" Grendel is getting that done with 9.0 mils of drop. The .260 does it with 6.5 meals of drop. (had to throw that in there...). The only other gun I have that beats it at that distance is the .300 Win Mag bolt gun, with 5.7 mils of drop, loaded with 195gr Hornady HPBTs cruising 2900 fps. And the .260 does it with a hell of alot less recoil. The .260 is rolling along at a modest 2650fps...

There are currently 5 x Grendels living in my house. There were 5 before, when Matt's got built, but he took that one away after the Fall Shoot. I felt an emptiness, and ended up with the Mk12 Mod H to get the number back up to 5 again... That's 5 mouths to feed. I don't think I can take a 6th right now... Not with all these other kids in the house, that eat different food...

Extra Fucking GAS TUBE ROLL PIN turned into a whole gun, brother - because I was afraid I was gonna lose it. "Gotta get a gas block to put this in - but that's stupid, if I dn't put a gas tube in it, and do it for real... " Then, I had a gas system sitting around... You know how that goes. After I told that story, some fucker on here anonymously sent me a bag of 10 gas tube roll pins... It was heinous.

Cliff, I switched over to Lee Factory Crimp Dies on a bunch of my cartridges, to eliminate this. Those things are fantastic, and only about $15 each, straight from Lee. Right now I have .308 Win, 6.5 Grendel and .260 Remington. I've got 3 more in the mail right now (.300 Win Mag, 300 BLK and 5.56). I'll get all of them, eventually. They made a tremendous difference, and completely eliminated bulging at the base of the shoulder. I should have bought them 5 years ago, when MikeDaddy was recommending them...
