  1. Yep. Initially, they rated slide life at 5,000 rounds. Then it dropped to 2,500, then 1,250. If you're only shooting (peacetime qual requirements) 50 rounds a year, that's a 20+ year lifespan on the slide. So, that made it "okay." I always hated the M9.
  2. BCA are good people! They have it - they know what's going on. On an 18" midlength gas .308 barrel with a .750 gas block diameter, you need 0.081" to run it, on the small side. I took one up to 0.085" to make it reliable with anything.

    My first 7.62x39 AR

This is amazing, watching all this go down... Fucking BADASS!!!
  4. The 30 cals are stackable to themselves, and the 50 cals are stackable to themselves. The 30s and 50s don't stack on each other, though. I just ordered 3 x 30 cal setups.
  5. Wanted to update this one. I got hands-on this beast last week. HOOOOLEEEEESHEEEIIITT!!! They did an OUTSTANDING JOB on this receiver set, and it's truly ambi. Damn is it nice. It's standard DPMS-based parts, and it's a work of art, both visually and functionally. You cannot go wrong with this set of receivers. ADM also has some SERIOUS titanium hardware coming to market, that is just ingenious. Scope mounts, red dot mounts, a rail system, and other stuff. ADM is gonna be a game-changer in the light-weight build market as soon as they announce all this stuff. The scope mount will blow your mind...
  6. NICE!!! Get that thing naked already and get the pics up!!!!
  7. Gonna have to be the Allen Engineering AE30. I need to call them. Has to be a 30-cal can on this one, because all their other ones are 5.56 cans.
  8. Check THIS out... Damn, this is badass. Many kudos to Tactical Toolbox.
  9. He just needs pivot, takedown, and bolt catch...
  10. Spring Shoot is mid-March. You know, break it in. Small group, so I'll provide all food - list your preferences, and you can have lobster ONE NIGHT. I'm just sayin'... (Don't try that "lobster" shiit for 3 nights. I ain't doin' it. You try it, and I'll feed you a roasted armadillo... )
  11. Buy 10 of them at Cabela's... Done deal, brother...
  12. Hold on - it's on Cabela's for $29.99... They're cheaper on this?... https://www.cabelas.com/product/MTM-CAN-AMMO-CRATE/2574825.uts
  13. Sounds like he has familiarity - he better watch those teeth! Black N Decker Pecker Wrecker, right there!... Good luck tonight, Raven!...
  14. You weren't fuqing with me - you replied to another guy to just Man UP with the gerbils. Like you had experience, or something, and just BRING IT OUT. Tell me about your Gerbils - cardboard tube, or did you just rough it, and stuff 'em in there?... Did they crawl, or claw? Most interested in you insertion method, as you've done the MAN UP thing on them before... You know, just curious what you went through. Spill it, let it out...
  15. DaMN! There was a guy here recently looking for an .875 brake! I'll try to find his post and direct him to this thread.
  16. Refuse to grow up. I'm handicapped by my own Natural Immaturity, but that can't be held against me.
  17. Hey, hold on - delayed reaction on my part, in cognitive/recognition... You saying you Man Up on gerbils all the time?...
  18. WTF?!!? That thing is almost a Wolverine! Or worse yet, it's a small beaver! I would hunt that, or CaveMan it.
  19. Many of those parts will work... I'm just sayin'. The spares are what turn into another rifle. PSA uses DPMS-based parts for the lower - any DPMS-based lower kit will have you running - you need the longer pivot and takedown pins, and the bolt catch. Those are the parts that are .308AR specific, over AR15 parts. Safety, trigger, springs and detents - all the same.
  20. Ah shiit, now you're dragging @Lonewolf McQuade and @JF89 back into it...
  21. POW!!! I almost KNEW this was gonna happen!... I love how you blamed it on her...
  22. Damn, I like that, too! You know my pain, Doc. I can fit these bitches out by caliber. 5.56 heavy match in a can, 5.56 55gr range ammo, 25/45 ammo, Grendel ammo. One tray, done. .308 178gr match in a can, 150gr range ammo one can, 30-06 in a can, 300BLK in a can. tray 2, 30-cal finished. Repeat as necessary. It beats the 20-can shuffle to the truck or trailer...
  23. Wait for that Creedmoor-specific scope to drop, because it's a BDC scope. No dialing, no remembering holdovers. Select the range, BAM. Done.
  24. No need for a pic - it's too short. We see it too often, these days, and it's based from laziness of manufacturers. Buy this gas tube to remedy that situation: https://www.armalite.com/product/ar-10-carbine-length-gas-tube-10007005/ Buy it quick. They go out of stock quick.
  25. I'm firing this up again, right now. Damn, this is good...
