2-stage, all the way for you, brother - completely. What you can do is get the LaRue MBT-2S for $87 buck. Later, down the road, if you want to get crazy, you have that option, with the Geissele Hi-Speed National Match (or DMR setup in it). Here's the 2-stage deal - good ones will have an initial pull weight, and you'll pull to that and hit a "stop" - and THAT point, you apply more pressure and the shot breaks. That right there is what makes "accuracy" - You can repeatedly duplicate every single time you will break that shot, without fail. So, on the LaRue, it's a 2.5/4.5 combined pull weight. you apply 2.5lbs to the trigger and it pulls back to that "stop" point, and you'll FEEL it. You apply ANOTHER 2lbs of pressure to that, and it breaks clean, from RIGHT THERE at that stop you hit. It's an incredibly clean, smooth, crisp trigger for a precision AR. You can go lighter (Geissele SSA-E, 3.5lb combined pull, $240), and a bunch of others. The Geissele Hi-Speed, you can set up with the National Match springs, and get an initial pull as low as 1.5lbs on the first stage, and 6oz on the secondary break. It's a freak of nature. I highly DON'T recommend it, starting off. That thing is $280. For $87, you can't beat that LaRue. I've got a metric shiit-ton of triggers - ask about just about any of them, and I've either got it, or I've shot it. I've even been accused of being a "fraud" due to having adjustable triggers that I received, and I didn't feel they needed to be adjusted - perfect as I received it and shot it - then accused for not adjusting it. Fucking ludicrous...

I'll tell you my observations on triggers, single-stage versus 2-stage. A single-stage trigger is a FASTASS trigger, and you can't beat the split times you'll see with one, especially a GREAT one (Geissele Super 3-Gun trigger). For precision or accuracy work, a single-stage trigger is not going to compare to a 2-stage trigger. I can't even tell you how many of those things I have, unless I seriously count them all. Geissele, Armalite NM, and a shitpot full of other ones. The LaRue MBT-2S is something I never pass up anymore, for a 2-stage. Only other trigger I'll buy over that will be a Geissele Hi-Speed NM trigger, but it better be for a really special gun build - or I'll get the LaRue. You can shot a 2-stage trigger FAST. You can't necessarily make a single-stage trigger into an accuracy trigger. The one exception I can tell you on that is the Geissele Super 3-gun trigger - that's a single-stage that you can shoot accurately - once you train for it. That is definitely way outside what it was designed for, though.

Toolcraft... I'm telling you guys, Toolcraft...

The bigger question is how many times did they get it right? I'd like to see a pic straight-down into your upper receiver, without the angle that you put on the pic. But, hey - you might have got lucky. You would literally be the FIRST PERSON to have one right.
-
FAR into the minority, too. But, hey, maybe they got it right for you - even a blind monkey finds a banana once in awhile, right? PSA routinely fuks up the gas tube length - because they're drilling the barrels on that "halfass in-between" pattern that alot of barrel cutters are fucking up these days.
-
Exactly. Because we're only gonna try to fornicate it up again this year in the desert... Right?... ?

What is your goal for this rifle, Woody? Precision work, or "speed work?" You wanna be accurate with it, at distance? Reason I ask is because every one of those triggers - that you said I quoted - are all single-stage triggers. Those are not accuracy triggers. For accuracy work, you should look at a 2-stage trigger - and the LaRue MBT-2S is one HELL of a trigger for $87. And twice that price. If you wanna get freaky, just get a Geissele Hi-Speed trigger, set it up with the National Match springs, tune it in, and you'll never shoot a better trigger than that. We can get more into the trigger theory, but you need to state what you want the trigger for. The two extreme answers are "Fast as FUK" trigger!!! and "Accuracy trigger..." There's a happy medium in all that - but state your primary purpose for the rifle, brother...

WHAT. THE. FUK. QUOTE. WAS.THAT... You just quoted me, but I've never said that shiit before, in my entire life... What kinda Ninja-Shiit did you just pull to fabricate that one?...
-
They rock. They treated JTAllen the same way - with a baffle strike. Fixed, warranty justified, repairs covered by the company, ... NO COST to the owner. Fucking BADASS...
-
That's the same guy - my beloved Gun Pusher - that told Blueberry that. "He doesn't like you because he doesn't like fat ugly chicks..."... That was his sister that he told that to... Fucker has balls of steel...
-
THIS IS NOT BLUEBERRY, FUCKERS. It is NOT. I wouldn't hit that with Greg's dick, and Rene pushing, and Neil trying to guide it into place... With Rob sleeping on the couch. Wouldn't then, won't ever. Blueberry is completely reserved down here for when we get Sheep REALLY DRUNK... My Gun Pusher has more than one SIL. Fuk, I think there's 5 of them, altogether, and Blueberry is the only scary one. This is NOT Blueberry, assheads...

New door on his car? Or house... I hope he needs a new door on his FACE...

That shiit works, too, doesn't it... I never shot better the whole weekend... The very greatest secret to "Center Axis Relock" is never talked about, no matter HOW much you research it - but I'll say it. Non-Dominant Eye.

You need to look at this junk before anything else. Gas port size is a bonus, and you need to know that - but you really need to check out that recoil system, to inlude the internal depth - INTERNAL DEPTH - on that receiver extension. The one and only Aero I had for the M5-specific shiit ended up at 7.100" internal. Dumpstered that thing. It was worthless on any platform. Aero's buffer is fucked, at 2.500" long, but 3.8oz, and the spring is weird. Run a Sprinco Orange spring in there, and it might work - and you might need a heavier buffer anyway, WITH that spring. I'm telling you this firsthand. The buffer is worth something, though - it has two tungsten weights in it, that are worth saving, and the bumper on the end of the buffer is worth keeping. Get your gas port diameter, first. There's lots of places/companies that are "compensating" for a weak recoil system with a "too-small" gas port - that's a balancing game that never works... That math that they're using doesn't always work out, when you only need a functional weapon. It's fucked up logic, and too many manufacturers are trying to use it.

It's possible - and certainly worth waiting, just to spec it out when it gets there.

Damn, do I get some funny texts from my Gun Pusher... I need to start keeping track of this shiit... GunPusher, 1 Feb 11:14pm: Are you available to help me anytime soon to work on some guns? Tom-Ass, 1 Feb 11:26pm: Yeah. Working tomorrow, but I will come by when I'm done. I can work nights, during the week, like moonlight walks on the beach, and the smell of 2-stroke or CPL turns me on... (HIS SISTER IN LAW!), 1 Feb, 11:28pm: I hear the smell of two stroke turns you on?? Tom-Ass, 1 Feb, 11:31pm: What the fuk. I'm getting tag-teamed here... Yes, brothers - this is my life... There's more to that 3way conversation, but it only goes down-hill from that last one... Threats of seeing me in boxers, flip-flops, and a light coat of CLP (which is SEXY!!! )... to another text from the sister that said I should see her in thigh-highs... I'll keep the GunPusher Chronicles going, because there's ALWAYS SOMETHING going on... It's never dull...
-
Shiit just got serious... I'll get back to this tomorrow, once I have more blood in my alcohol system...
-
I can only imagine that it takes awhile, to gear-down... like this?...
-
What a Motherfucker... It only took you A WEEK FROM REGISTERING to make a damn post... WTF... At any rate, you missed SO MUCH TRASH TALK about you that it's not even funny. I'm so amazed that you finally posted, I didn't even read the specs on your gun yet. I'll go dig into that now, and give my most assinine feedback. Depending on your parts choice - it might be nice. Or, I just might be an ass, like usual... Welcome aboard - fucking FINALLY!...
-
Asshead...

BIG Opinion - Shiit-Can it. Take it out, and save it for your next AR15 build that uses midlength gas - it'll match that. Buy this, and buy it quick, before it goes out of stock again. https://www.armalite.com/product/ar-10-carbine-length-gas-tube-10007005/ Fuk it - buy two. This won't be your first rodeo...

Brother - your guy has been AWOL. He was here, right after he said he would sign up - and he was, I saw him online here. Then, POOF! You gotta get over there and track his ass down, and get him in here - into his own intro thread...
-
She's a keeper! Pick all the ticks off, give her a flea-bath, and put her to bed with the rest of them!...

I think he's still in shock...
