    Fast enough?

Literally, everything about a 300BLK is AR15 parts, except for the barrel. Use good AR15 parts and you can't go wrong. With barrel selection what it is right now, I'd do a Faxon Firearms 9" Gunner barrel. This one right here: http://faxonfirearms.com/match-series-9-gunner-300-blk-5r-416-r-nitride/ They also do a 7.5" and 10.5", if you'd want either of those lengths. They's be just as good. You'll need something under 10" if you ever think you'll have to swing that thing around inside your vehicle, from a seat in the car/truck.

    Howdey

Right now you only have a barrel? /if you don't have receivers yet, then you're basically starting from a clean slate - which is a good thing.
  3. Midtown, it's going to feel like you're trying to take a drink from a firehose in a minute - brace yourself...
  4. ^^^ Agree completely - and it's not what you're looking for in this description, Midtown...
  5. The magnifier doesn't have a zero. Only your red dot would have the zero. If the red dot holds true, then you're good. The Vortex you have will hold zero.
  6. Two recommendations, right off the bat, then. Both scopes are Primary Arms, but with different reticles. One is specifically for estimating range and hunting, but it can be used beyond hunting. The other one is specifically forestimating range, (more) rapid target engagement, holding for wind, holds for moving targets - and can also be used for hunting. Hunting: http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-orion-4-14x44mm-riflescope-acss-orion-pa4-14xffp-orion Way more than hunting: http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-4-14x44mm-riflescope-acss-hud-dmr-308-223-reticle-pa4-14xffp308
  7. Max distance you'll normally shoot at, max distance you'd like to shoot to, max dollar limit you want to hit, and what you're shooting (paper or animals, and size of animals). Hit some answers for those, and it's easier for us to make recommendations.
  8. ^^^ This.

ALOT!!! That's my current truck gun. 9" barreled pistol. I keep it in a tennis racket case.
  10. On that note, here's something for everyone to ponder... The previous administration successfully created a new generation of complete fukheads. Those that turned 18 and bought into all the bullshiit campaign promises voted for that president. We suffered through 8 years of his bullshiit and WAY flawed policies/orders/changes. THAT generation went from 18 to 26 years old, believing that shiit. They are now ANTIFA (and a few other groups, like BLM). Many of them are the snowflakes you all saw crying when Hitlery was handed her a$s on election night in 2016... They will continue to believe, continue to act, and continue to bully the rest of society around, for the rest of their lives. They will make babies, and raise them with that mentality, and the cycle will go on until it's proven unpopular to support. That will take generations.
  11. No shiit - we saw that for 8 years, from an entire presidential administration. We're only really discovering the depths of that abuse now...
  12. If you have two springs at the pistol grip... The larger one is the safety detent spring, smaller one is the takedown detent spring. DPMS does the same thing on their LR-308 lowers - both springs go in from the bottom. Takedown goes in from the back on AR15s, and alot of the newer 308AR follow suit.
  13. Hey Brother, see these little guys below? Look at that one at the bottom of the group...
  14. ^^^ I agree with that. I think it sucks, though, that teachers will have to basically be "Combat Medic" certified to work in a school. That's something that I'm not mentally digesting very well... because that fact sucks so bad...

Love mine, brother. Had it since they released it, 2009 I think. I know that's when I got it. ...even with it's weakass Choate extension tube...
  16. There ya go, brother.

All of the PPU .223 Rem brass that I converted to 300BLK - first loading, they ALL did that after firing, and I caught it when I attempted to load them again. The same load worked great in LC 5.56 brass. I quit using the PPU brass to make 300BLK right then, and tossed all those cases in the trash. LC only from that point on.
  19. EngrBob is right, you know. This has been building up for the last 20 years. Two decades of feel-good bullshiit, fucked up policies, and "everybody is a winner" mentality. Couple that with some "don't hurt anyone's feelings" and a little dose of "everyone has a voice," then mix in a whole lot of the last 10 or 20 years of bad policy - provide everything for free to anyone that can bullshiit their application of justification to qualify for it... Sprinkle in some large doses of "degradation of the mental health system" and your recipe is complete.
  20. Blackout = pistol powder launching rifle bullets in rifle brass cases = fuk around with the wrong powder or charge, and you're gonna know it. I'd love to know what his load was first, before I looked at anything else. Get after the pigs, wash!!! Want me to send the 338 Fed over there to ya? It's a soft shooter, so you wouldn't even have to wear your padded bra!...
  21. Fuk. Time to uparmor the schools. These dikbags are WAY out of hand.
  22. That SAR9 is badass. I shot the piss outta one a couple weeks back. Sights were right on the money, about 7 steel targets spaced out at varying distances between 7 and 15 yards. It connected with every plate, every time. Recoil is very easy, almost not there. It was setup with the medium backstrap and large side panels, and it fit my hand like a glove. The grip profile is identical to a VP9, and we had one of those there at the same time. I'm talking identical. That SAR9 really is a VP9 lower with a Glock slide on it - that's the best way to describe it. I love the thing. When I prioritize it, I WILL own one.
  23. Mal, sorry to hear about that, brother. I lost 2 cats in the last 2 months. They were twins from the same litter, over 14 years old. Just old age. The first one went too long, and had a hard time. The second one went downhill pretty fast. It sucked.
  24. It's a members-only place. In the old days, you had to have an invite from a current member just to get in. Now, you can just hit the site and sign up.
