  1. It's not Cerakote. And it's not Melonite. It's Carbon. This post of yours is unbelievable. WIth your vast shooting experience, you should have known that. Kinda falls inline with the "troll" theory here.
  2. I thought you left? Am I seeing things?
  3. Easy fix. Stake the set screws, just like you would stake the gas key bolt on a bolt carrier, and like you'd stake the lockring on the carbine receiver extension. They won't loosen up after that, unless you make them loosen up.
  4. Need the longer vented screw, too. The A1-length screw won't thread into the receiver extension with the A2 spacer on the end of it.

    "Swatting"

^^^ Hmmm... Based on the fact that he's 16, he's "ineligible" for the death penalty. They need to make an exception in this case...

    "Swatting"

This dude fucked himself - 135 months in prison. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Weigman This young punkass is screwed, too: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/canadian-boy-16-accused-in-swatting-hoaxes-around-us/
  7. Still 54 No, 46 yes, with 938 votes. Taught my kid on a CO2 pellet pistol into an archery target block when he was 6 or 7. He was shooting ARs around 10~11 years old.
  8. Shib, I think it's safe to say you're gonna lose that thumbnail. When that happens, get a pic up of that thumb, brother! <dontknow> <lmao>
  9. Stain has me on the bolt gun kick lately... this pic is a lefty, but the one on the way is a righty... This whole rifle will get painted, crazy dirt colors...
  10. Honestly, it's easy to do, brother - give it a shot with some Krylon, and if you don't like it, you can strip it back down. I painted one with Krylon Khaki in mid-2010, and it's showing minor wear. That stuff holds up. That particular rifle was supposed to be sandblasted and repainted today, but that didn't happen. Soon, though...
  11. ^^^ That is awesome! My stepdad collects old tools, and he's got them displayed rather nicely - I have no idea what some of them are worth, or where he got them, but I know he can talk about them all day long, though. Next time I get back to Ohio, I'll get pictures of everything.
  12. I like that, ALOT! Toss in the INFIDEL Tab, and we're SET!

    Which Geissele?

Just the finishing and fine tuning.
  14. AR15 rifle buffer = 5.900" AR15 carbine buffer = 3.250" spacer is 2.650" long for these, to run a carbine buffer in a rifle-length receiver extension. DPMS 308 rifle buffer = 5.200" DPMS 308 carbine buffer = Have to have someone measure their Slash CAR-10 buffer, or DPMS 308 Carbine Buffer to get this info. Subtract it from the 5.200" of a 308 rifle buffer length to get the length of spacer you'd need to make. ***Do not use the Armalite AR-10 Carbine buffer length, or information. Armalite uses a longer carbine receiver extension on their AR-10s, and they use AR-15-length carbine buffers.*** ADDED: DPMS Specs on their LR308 Rifle and Carbine Buffers - double check these numbers and test-fit, but verify numbers!... Rifle and carbine buffers for DPMS .308 style rifles Standard rifle buffer specs: length 5.285", weight 5.4112oz Carbine buffer specs: length 2.485", weight 3.808oz
  15. Holy Shat, I thought I responded to Rob's MASSIVE AMOUNT OF CCW FIREARMS?!!? :wtf:
  16. I heard you coated your wei... wait. Nevermind... <lmao>
  17. He gets like that. If I get guns out, I have to put range muffs on him. If I don't, then he knows he's not going. At that point, he gets really pissed off and goes after the neighbor's dogs... <lmao>
  18. Pulled this from your link - This fucking IDIOT is all over Cali legislature!!! He needs to GO!!! The measure was authored by Senators Alex Padilla, Kevin de León, and Ricardo Lara.
  19. And she's looking for Ron!!!
  20. RLTW!!!
  21. Just pissed myself off. Counted VTAC slings. I do have 8 - on rifles. VTAC Mk1 slings on the Mk12, 700, Ruger GSR, Moss MVP, Savage FV-SR, and 3 x 10-22s. BFG VTAC Padded on the 16" precision gun, and BFG VTAC (non-padded) on the Moss 930 SPX. TactiCat on overwatch... >:D TactiCat doing a barrel inspection on the FV-SR: Two spare VTAC Mk1 slings - the FDE one is destined for my 300BLK, when I pick up the attaching hardware. TactiCat providing guard, once again. He's not happy that I have these out, and he's not going to the range with me...
  22. ^^^ Yep, he gave it away. Homey will ALWAYS have that rifle, no matter WHAT!!! <thumbsup>
  23. ^^^ SEE?!!? I don't lie about that $hit... <lmao>
  24. That first one that Stain posted, and this one ^^^ are very similar. You can't get a more stable shooting position than wearing a cuff. That's the best it gets, brother. Now I need to shoot the 1903 tomorrow. The GI sling is easily converted to a cuff, and I want to get some 30-06 downrange now. Fuckers...
  25. It's hard to tell what it could be, just based on a target pic - some things are obvious, like verticle stringing due to breathing, though (not you, just in general). When you get down behind the gun, try to make sure that you do the exact same thing, every shot - it HAS to be consistent. Always fire on the full exhale - natural respiratory pause. Once you settle in and have your natural point of aim squared away, don't move - unless you check your natural point of aim again before the next shot. Trigger follow-through, every single shot. Same sight picture, same sight alignment (through a scope, you really don't have to worry about sight alignment). The things that will affect you everytime are sight picture, sight alignment, breathing, trigger control and body position. If one of those is different shot-to-shot, then your target will reflect it. And bees. Don't fuk with bees - get outta there. <lmao>
