Just got it back from Scott Medesha. My po man"s REPR. This is the third one Ive had him do, but the first 308. He charges about $100 and I love not having to come off the weapon or take my trigger finger away from the grip to work the bolt.

Nice looking receiver!  :))

Okay, I guess if you don't like it you could just unscrew the handle, since you would have to do that to remove the BCG for cleaning.  Sounds kind of like going back in time.  I never had trouble with my M1 or my 1100 or mini 14. I had a time for awhile getting used to the AR charging handle but I have grown to like it being there.  Thanks for showing the picture, looks cool!

Does he also do a bolt handle on the right side?

Are you a lefty ? Is that why you remove your finger from the Trigger ?

I would have thought a Ambi. Charging handle would be less expensive & would need no alterations to the Upper Receiver .

I just did a side charge 308 upper on the right side for a guy for $125 I wanted to just do both sides and make it ambi but he didnt want to.  I still think the non reciprocating JP side charge is the way to go but so pricey.

I like ASA more than JP. ASA blocks the charging handle slot, where JP still requires a CH.

SWORD Int makes a really nice non-reciprocating upper, but I doubt they'll ever get sold as individual parts.

No. I'm a righty. I just work the bolt with my left hand when needed and I don't lose my check weld by having to come of of the rifle to pull the charging handle.I shoot nose to CH like my Drill Sgt taught me.

Tool charges 5 bucks for that rear-oil-hole mod, shipped.  However, you have to send him videos of you shooting it...  <lmao>

^^^  Just got that email today.  I think it's more than that - the $899 is just for the upper receiver, I think.
