Toolndie7 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) Broke my bolt catch over the weekend, dumped it out and kept shooting then went home and ordered an armalite catch. This was part of a cheap parts lot and I wasn't surprised. Checked the hardness of this and was surprised it was 52 Rockwell all the way through, no wonder why it broke. O well. blue109 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 How do you test hardness? I always see the rating but have no idea how you check.
mrmackc Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) Arousal? 7 letters Edited May 26, 2015 by mrmackc
Toolndie7 Posted May 26, 2015 Author Report Posted May 26, 2015 I sense a four letter word... I purposely didnt say it because of you! How do you test hardness? I always see the rating but have no idea how you check. We use a tester at work that pushes a diamond into the steel and measures hardness
blue109 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Lol Damn. Should have seen that one a mile away.
MikedaddyH Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 I purposely didnt say it because of you! We use a tester at work that pushes a diamond into the steel and measures hardnesswas this the tool ?
blue109 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Was wondering what that was. Tom keeps one in his range bag. That guy is always ready for anything.
98Z5V Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Was wondering what that was. Tom keeps one in his range bag. That guy is always ready for anything. Stuff that in your gunshot wound, brother, and it'll staunch the bleeding REAL quick!... <lmao>
Toolndie7 Posted May 26, 2015 Author Report Posted May 26, 2015 Oh Tool.... <laughs> hey its working, I dont need no fancy bolt hold open any way lol
Robocop1051 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Seriously... When you guys use CMMG parts, and they fail you.... Is the first thing out of your mouth, "Fukc Rob!"
AngelDeVille Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 And, do you need to toss a few quarters in the receiver extension?
planeflyer21 Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 And, do you need to toss a few quarters in the receiver extension? Man...if you got quarters to stuff in the RE, you should've spent them on higher quality parts.
survivalshop Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Wonder if that part was made with the Metal powder forming process ? What ever you call it .
Toolndie7 Posted May 27, 2015 Author Report Posted May 27, 2015 Wonder if that part was made with the Metal powder forming process ? What ever you call it . seems to be, but I know nothing about that stuff...
MikedaddyH Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Man...if you got quarters to stuff in the RE, you should've spent them on higher quality parts. If I have to feed it quarters I'd better get a pop and a candy bar.
DNP Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 It'll give you a pop alright. Probably feed you a jelly dong too, be careful how many quarters you give it.
slugger43 Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 Holy crapperoony. Somebody says hard, a dildo pic appears, and the cheap-ass parts thread is FUBAR. Yuk! So was that a CMMG dildo-hardness-tester thingee? <lmao>
MikedaddyH Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Tootsie roll buffer ! It gets messy when it gets hot ! Edited May 28, 2015 by MikedaddyH
Toolndie7 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Report Posted May 28, 2015 I had no idea CMMG built trains.... He means to imply this thread has derailed like a mother*ucker  which is what this place is best at, before you know it it will be 6 pages long and there will be numerous sexual references to double headed dongs and tootsie rolls <laughs>
planeflyer21 Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 Double headed tootsie dongs? That'll get the cops to visit your house on Halloween.
