Sisco Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) Pharmaceutical companies have been looking for this type of thing for years. Aminocaproic Acid (Amicar) used to do it but fell out of favor for some reason. But it didn't work this fast, wow! Using Algae as a basis is incredibly resourceful and brilliant. The kid is gonna do ok with this one. Edited June 25, 2015 by Sisco

98Z5V Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 How does that quick clot work ? Not "unpainful." Chemical cauterization.
planeflyer21 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 How does that quick clot work ? Not "unpainful." Chemical cauterization. Additionally, if you are within standard contact of emergency services (e.g. can make it to modern medical care in "The Golden Hour"), your medical staff kindly request you DO NOT use quick clot. They have to cut/scrape that stuff out of you. You are much better off with torniquets on limbs and direct pressure bandages on the body, IF you aren't in BFE.
