survivalshop
Well I've been building , repairing & firing AR's for about forty years & ejection problems , even with 308AR's is probably the lowest on the list of any problems & the includes select fire versions . I had my first problem with Extraction & Ejection with my newest 308AR build , my first out of thousands of rounds of 308 & if you want to read about it , in the 308 parts section , DWilson Bolts . I can't seem to copy & paste an address here any more , it shows up as the quote of the first post ? The use of duel Ejector is a fix for a non existent problem in my book . Just look at all the other 308 semi auto rifles & see how many have duel Ejectors. Why not two Extractors also , that would be more of a worry , than the Ejection or it may be a short coming of the GII design & they found that the only way to over come it was with two Ejectors , we will never know , unless some one want to experiment & remove an Ejector to test it out .?? planeflyer21
So just to get this straight, the second ejector in the bolt of a 308AR is something like a full-length guide rod in a 1911? Works but wasn't necessary to begin with?

I have one installed & hard to see a difference , unless you have a Ransom Rest . Who knows , both the Duel Ejectors & the Guide Rod , may help out with reliability . Rsquared
I'm with SS on this topic. I've never seemed to have an ejection / extraction problem with any of my 10's. That is......unless they get extremely filthy. And even Rob knows, that only happens with my 15's. laughing
Crankbait
Have you tried the gold box CBC ammo through it yet?I haven't seen any CBC around Illinois or the mid-south. I recall using bulk lots of Lake City M80 ball - and buying on many occasions 20 round boxes of Hornady TAP, Federal Gold Metal Match, Hornady Superformance, Federal Fusion...I've really gotten into reloading the past year - in .308 the economics are really compelling. I can reload 150 gr Hornady FMJBT for ~ 25cents/round, and 168gr AMAX for ~ 30cents/round using Lake City brass that I prep.
Crankbait
Well, there does seem to be somewhat of a consensus with the recent offerings from Seekins and Daniel Defense, in terms of a standard with respect to the receiver and bolt carrier being LR-308 dimensions. I noticed that Toolcraft and Young don't offer a dual ejector bolt at least to retail non-OEM clients.I would imagine that the DPMS Gen2 receiver and BCG patterns would have been used by at least a few other OEM's if not for the Intellectual Property Rights claimed by Freedom Group.
