survivalshop Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Damn & I blew my spending wad on a new Chronograph , that is a good deal . Good score .
blue109 Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 I blew my spending cap, plus a bunch extra this month. Feeling like a real American now.
shepp Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) Carful if they got on back order I had issues with that company, also don't pay via pay pal for mags. Edited July 23, 2015 by shepp
washguy Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Better than pmags? Hell yes...ive got this mag...its quality and pricey...usually 40 to 47 bills apiece for the 762 mags :) Wash
unforgiven Posted July 24, 2015 Author Report Posted July 24, 2015 No backorder but they had 13 left after I ordered.Never had a problem with them, but then I don't do Paypal.
blue109 Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 As stated, botach is notorious for screwing people on backordered stuf. I've never had a major issue, but I've had orders cancelled. I try not to get excited about a deal until I get a tracking number. I'd try lancers at $25 but Wouldn't touch em for $40+. Havnt had a PMAG fail yet.
shepp Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 No backorder but they had 13 left after I ordered.Never had a problem with them, but then I don't do Paypal. The pay pal wasn't horrible beside "customer service" wanted me to give her my CC info over the phone and didn't understand why I said "aw hell no". If they have anything back ordered there's a cold chance in hell they'll ever re stock it specially something like this. Just trying to save a hassle
Spartan Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) i got a set, thanks. Still 12 sets in stock. Edited July 24, 2015 by Spartan
AngelDeVille Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 I have 2 of these mags, and for $42 it's a stretch, but for $25, he'll yes.
unforgiven Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 Got them within the week. They were suppose to be blems, didn't see any <dontknow> Clear mags are badass. ^-^
washguy Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 Got them within the week. They were suppose to be blems, didn't see any <dontknow> Clear mags are badass. ^-^ Awesome brother! they are shooters! :) Wash
98Z5V Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I converted to Lancers for all the 5.56 stuff. I tried a Lancer for the 7.62 stuff - I will convert. I will never buy another Pmag - not because Pmags are bad, or anything like that. Lancers are just that good, and I'll put my future money into them. All Pmags will still be shot, routinely, just not purchased in the future. <thumbsup>
survivalshop Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I just ordered the four pak & will see if they work in my CMMG 308AR lower that PMags seem to not function well in .
Robocop1051 Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 Did you ever figure out why PMAGs don't work?
survivalshop Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Read about my new build in the Build section , I keep finding things working against it , in one form or another , I keep blaming the great CMMG <laughs> Gen. 2 Lower, but could be other things . I went out of my way to tighten up & align the Upper to the Lower. Thought the Gen. 3 PMags were going to work until I took her out to the range yesterday . I used a 25 rd. Gen 3 for testing with dummy rounds ion my shop , then I forgot to take them , but had a 20 rd. Gen. 3 in my range bag , so I thought it was the same , wrong , the two 20 rd. gen. 3 Pmags I have ,don't fit or fit real tight in all my 308AR's ( two DPMS ) & thats got nothing to do with the CMMG Lower . They are so tight I have to force them into the mag well & forget about dropping free , you Have to give them the full hand to get them out . Both 25 rd. Gen. 3's insert & drop free no problem , just as a bunch of the first version of the LR Pmags I have . The gen. 3 LRPMags sit higher in the mag well then the first Gen. LRPMags & thought that would take care of the Bolt over , PMags also have the raised portion of the Follower on the right side , the DPMS , CProducts & my lone MagTec has it on the left , if that means anything . Like I said things are working against them working in the CMMG , I have to take the 25 rd. mags with me Monday to the range , the DPMS mags work fine , I also had a problem with my well used CProducts test mag , same as with the PMags , the bolt is passing over the round on the right side & the Carrier is catching it & smashing on the feed ramp , it only happens once in a while & it was only the Pmags , but with the CProducts # 1 test mag . I had with me , it too failed the same way , just strange , its the first time a metal mag failed with the CMMG set , so I think the mag is getting too worn , it has seen a few thousand rounds , it was my # 1 test mag for all 308AR's , just some strange $hit . Rifle worked fine with the DPMS mag . & I was trying make it fail with long shot strings . Edited August 1, 2015 by survivalshop
unforgiven Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 I had a 5.56 metal mag actting up.Changed the follower and spring worked just fine.
survivalshop Posted August 2, 2015 Report Posted August 2, 2015 I had a 5.56 metal mag actting up.Changed the follower and spring worked just fine. Definitely a possibility with the round count with this Mag , because It has always worked & its like a go to mag for testing because ( I thought ) It would always work <dontknow> I have about twenty more , new in the wrapper to replace it with . <thumbsup> Not to mention the DPMS Mags I have . The first gen. LR PMags with this CMMG Receiver have had problems from the beginning & I've tried about a doz. of them with it . Metal mags have always worked with out a problem , at least till now , with this one well used Cproducts Mag . Can't wait to try the Lancer Mags .
unforgiven Posted August 3, 2015 Author Report Posted August 3, 2015 See if you can spot the blemish's I couldn't.
survivalshop Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Like you said , if there's a blemish on them , I can't tell . Maybe since they are called clear , they are more translucent , but still clear to me <dontknow> Another good thing , the measurement of the Cartridge on the right side of the Mag is 0.435" above the Lower Receivers Deck ,With mag seated , that makes it higher then a DPMS Mag , that works in with this Receiver , will find out at the range tomorrow . Hight point of follower is on the right , as is the Pmag . Not a clear photo of the rear of the mag . Disassembled Drain hole at the bottom of spring has a switch for dusty ( closed ) or wet ( open )
survivalshop Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) All the Lancers functioned in the CMMG as far as feeding , I did have a few Failures to eject , can't blame that on the mag , because the 25 RD PMag had one also & the 25 rd. PMags also feed with out a problem .( see info & Chrono results in the Build section of SS Build ) Edited August 6, 2015 by survivalshop
Spartan Posted August 10, 2015 Report Posted August 10, 2015 i finally got mine too. they seem very durable. The sunshine washed out the color in the pics with the gun.
