Al-53
Thanks for the warm welcome...I am excited to be building this rifle..but being old does not help...milling the lower is my hardest part..not steady Eddie any more and my eyes are like they were..haha..but as the saying goes slow and steady wins the race... I been reading so much here..but still have questions..but will ask when I get to that bridge... I can't wait to get building this..parts are arriving now daily.... Again thanks for the warm welcome Al
shepp
Al, my dad always told me "messure twice cut once". Often this pops into my head usually after I F'd up a cut lol

Al-53
I worked in maintanence for the Post Office...I wish I was there now so I could use the milling machine to finish the 80% lower...haha..just for 1 day thats all...I love being away from there actually...I love being retired..time to shoot..build new guns and hunt at my leasure I hope it is healthy...but I have chronic lyme disease for 14 years..can be very painful at times... Being from New England the Lyme capital of the US...all the deer we shot we hung in the yard..not knowing about lyme..well as the body cooled down the ticks fall off and either burrow in ground to winter over or look for a host...in reallity I created a tick haven on my property...not counting whats in the woods here..every family member has had it but caught early..I did not find out for over a year after my whole body felt like I was beat with a baseball bat... Never thought about all that specialized equipment sorting 'round the clock, who did the maintanence. Pretty cool!
unforgiven
Sorry to hear brother Al. There a few Sheet metal workers here that were avid hunters and contracted Lyme and it put them out of the trade. At least you don't have to work and put up with the pain at the same time.
