I joined here since the info I have been getting here is great...I just retired and I have been building a few rifles..but this is my first AR platform...I have ordered 95% of my parts so far...

I have a 20" shilen match barrel

Advanced tactical upper and lower and charge handle and front hand guard..and jig..I wanted a 1 stop shopping and hopefuly a good fit when done

JP adjustable gas block

Toolcraft BCG

Giessele action rod for assembly

Yankee Hill gas tube

Rife type stock(Magpul MOE) and extender tube and spring an buffer wieght

Ar 308 lower parts kit with ALG defense trigger. ..will upgrade trigger down the road if i do not like it...

here is a picture of my last build...it is a smokeless powder muzzle loader in .45 with a shilen barrel also...this gun shoots lights out at 400 yards no problem..73 grains of 4189 powder and 250 grain Barnes bullet..WOW...

The machine work was done by CMC forearms and also the Ceramakote..great job

Thank for having me here

Thanks for the warm welcome...I am excited to be building this rifle..but being old does not help...milling the lower is my hardest part..not steady Eddie any more and my eyes are like they were..haha..but as the saying goes slow and steady wins the race...

I been reading so much here..but still have questions..but will ask when I get to that bridge...

I can't wait to get building this..parts are arriving now daily....

Again thanks for the warm welcome

I worked in maintanence for the Post Office...I wish I was there now so I could use the milling machine to finish the 80% lower...haha..just for 1 day thats all...I love being away from there actually...I love being retired..time to shoot..build new guns and hunt at my leasure

I hope it is healthy...but I have chronic lyme disease for 14 years..can be very painful at times...

Being from New England the Lyme capital of the US...all the deer we shot we hung in the yard..not knowing about lyme..well as the body cooled down the ticks fall off and either burrow in ground to winter over or look for a host...in reallity I created a tick haven on my property...not counting whats in the woods here..every family member has had it but caught early..I did not find out for over a year after my whole body felt like I was beat with a baseball bat...
