Matt.Cross
Sounds like you need an offset holo dot for quick close-in shots.....
ARTrooper
eotechs I don't like, acogs I liked in Afghanistan because of the added magnification, but eye relief wasn't that great and field of view in the optic isn't that good. would much rather have a scope that can have better eye relief sometimes and far greater field of view often times than a acog. aim point red dots I love for at-15s when it is more about sending rounds down range to just give em hell. but if you got to make each shot count and you don't want to damage meat, it helps to have a little bit of magnification, especially since none of us are getting younger. lol. so if I was clearing rooms, aim point red dot would be my optic of choice, although that close you just point and shoot. but if I was to pick one optic for any and all situations, it would be a 3-18x50mm first focal plane scope. low enough magnification that you could clear rooms with it, but high enough magnification that you could take those accurate long range shots. now I know probably a bit expensive for something along those lines, but a less expensive 3-9x40mm scope would be better for most scenarios than would the other optics. although the 1-6 power scopes are very useful also. but, look what I just found. http://www.bushnell.com/tactical/riflescopes/elite-tactical/smrs-1-8-5x-24mm

Last 1-6 version I got was $400 on sale, haven't seen that 1-8 for under 3 times that! Edited October 18, 2016 by jtallen83

I think they are living off of the military and video game fame... "if the military uses it, it must be the best!"... "it's cool because it is used in video games!" 1 hour ago, jtallen83 said: I would love to have one but the price jump from the 1-6 was just a bit much for me. 98Z5V
That PA 1-8 is next, or next-next, on my list. The PA 4-14 308 HUD DMR is just straight badass.
