blue109 Posted August 6, 2017 Report Posted August 6, 2017 50k units aint replacing anything. Maybe looking for a new squad DMR or something. army is too cheap to outfit every grunt with 7.62..plus its heavy and takes up more space. 7.62x51mm caliber? TFB is slipping. Few days ago they made a big deal about sig P320s not being drop safe and getting banned from duty for texas LEOs. Turned out to be bs.
Sisco Posted August 6, 2017 Report Posted August 6, 2017 It would make sense to have a limited number for special issue in areas Where combat can be at longer distances, like parts of Afghanistan. Face it, a lot of work will have to go into making M4's effective at 500 yards.

Just like any other media...so desperate for content they'll run anything?

This was the final day of training in a "Range Week" packed full of nothing but fundamentals. Iron sights only. "We stay out here on the range until everyone can meet the standard." They got it - not all were as quick as some, but it's the training that goes into it prior to, that makes it happen. Standard issue M4A1 Carbines.

jtallen83 Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 When the pistol discharges in the video drop test the slide does not move to the rear, why would this be?
blue109 Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 Not enough pressure? Im assuming its just a primed shell.

DNP Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 That would make me feel a lot better about the guy in flip-flops and shorts throwing the gun on the ground as well.
