Sisco Posted September 20, 2017 Report Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) Check out th Palmetto State Armory PA10s but beware you are mostly locked into their parts. Better would be a DPMS pattern upper and lower reciever kit, such as Aero. Tons of aftermarket parts available. Armalite AR10s are pretty proprietary. Would not suggest that for the first build. mley1 Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 If you're on a tight budget, I doubt there's anywhere less expensive than PSA. You just have to make sure you use their stuff mostly. I'll probably put together another rifle from them at some point. I'm really enjoying mine.
sketch Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/product.m5-308-stripped-receiver-set-993 this is a good deal..
Boot_Scraper Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 This looks like a good start https://www.deltateamtactical.com/Aero-Precision-M5-308-Stripped-Upper-Receiver-Builder-Kit-with-Premium-Toolcraft-Nitride-Bolt-Carrier-Group-Charging-Handle-Included-_p_6249.html?mc_cid=f1869318d2&mc_eid=b06024f715
guruofhotrod Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) They have a good price on a Lower parts kit: http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/product.aero-precision-m5-308-lower-parts-kit-993 And Carbine buffer kit: http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/product.m5-308-carbine-buffer-kit-no-stock-75-993 Or, if you are planning on a Rifle length buffer tube/buffer: http://www.schuylerarmsco.com/product.m5-rifle-lower-build-kit-993 And WC Armory has a very nice Toolcraft Nib Bolt Carrier Group that will work well with the Aero Upper http://www.wcarmory.com/toolcraft-bcg-308-bolt-carrier-group-ni-bo-9310-mpi-complete.htm Edited September 22, 2017 by guruofhotrod
Malig8r Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 I think the Aero sets are a great value too. That's how I started off and everything fit well and was in spec.
survivalshop Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 Don't forget Larue , He has a complete Upper Kit & now the Lowers to go with it , might have to wait for it , but well worth it . http://www.larue.com/larue-ultimate-762-260-upper-kit http://www.larue.com/larue-billet-lowers
