PRODUCT SAFETY WARNING AND RECALL NOTICE

Consumer safety is our first priority. Please contact us immediately to facilitate the replacement of your .308/SR-25 10 Round Magazines at our factory at no charge to our customers.  Recalled Risers will not be returned.   DO NOT use your .308/SR-25 10 Round Magazines unless it has been assembled with the new replacement riser! Any unintended discharge has the potential for causing injury or death.

HOW TO DETERMINE IF .308/SR-25 10 ROUND MAGAZINES NEEDS REPLACED: Load your magazine with .308 cartridges of the until the magazine can no longer accept any additional cartridges. Remove each cartridge contained in the magazine and count the total number of cartridges that were capable of fitting within the magazine. If that number exceeds 10, the magazine is subject to this recall. Alternatively, if your .308/SR-25 10 ROUND MAGAZINES contains a black riser (depicted below left), then your magazine is subject to this recall.

REPLACING YOUR AFFECTED PRODUCT If you own a magazine that is subject to this recall, Sentry Products Group will provide a replacement magazine configured with the replacement riser (depicted below right) and ship it to you at no additional cost.

Contact us immediately! We will ask for your Name, Address, Telephone Number, Number of Magazines, and provide to you an RMA # for return and tracking purposes.  Once you have been provided an RMA #, you will need to remove the riser from your affected product, and send the affected riser to: SENTRY Products Group, LLC, 2929 S. Based on the info in the OP, it sounds like the only issue is that the mags will hold more rounds than they were originally intended for.

Where is the safety issue?

That was my thought — if you’re counting rounds, there is no safety issue. 

As stated in my comment on the other thread about this, I understand potential legal issues for those who don’t live in America proper. But I fail to see how this is a potentially lethal safety issue.

I would think if you put the 11th one in, the worst that could happen is a failure to feed at some point. I think the "safety issue" is the company just covering their ass, along with the recall in general. can't blame them for doing that with this day and age.

You could see them getting sued in a negligent discharge scenario, mag was only supposed to hold 10, counted ten and thought it was empty. No real excuse if someone does get shot but lawyers can convince 12 sheeple that it wasn't the man with the booger hooks fault any day of the week.
