But I didn't hear anything about the situation of the vehicle operator. although although in the initial reports I did find it strange they never mention anything about that pick up driver. I do not think the police would have let him return home to Mass. if they had any suspicion that he was impaired. The official charges are negligent homicide. He may have been impaired but he may have been looking at his phone just as easily. Regardless, the people were needlessly killed and he is the reason.
