my plan is to have this be a 5-600 yd shooter. I have the sig 716 for closer stuff and a savage 10ba for longer range stuff. im planning on running a 20" rainier arms barrel. just not sure about anything else. any suggestions on what parts to get and where would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks

do you think this forearm would end up covering up the gas block? it says its a rifle length gas system, just not sure how far down the barrel that is.

I would think probably not. If you were getting into Troy's two-piece FFHG options, you might find one that could extend beyond your gas block, but personally I can't understand why anyone would want to make their gas block impossible to access quickly. Maybe that's what you're trying to avoid, I can't really tell from the way the question was asked. If that's the case, disregard my statement. <thumbsup>

File that poop down, after a few range trips, or look for finger transplants.  :o

Dremel with a Cratex will fix that right up.

One of my instructors, Bad Ass Sensei Master, loves sharp poop.  Says "It lets me know it isn't going anywhere."  He becomes one with his weapon...don't get in the way.

I'd look around, something about the 1-12 twist doesn't sit well with me on that fulton barrel

What twist should i be looking for? Also for a 5-600 yd shooter is a match grade barrel really necessary?

if you are hunting with it, I WOULD get a match barrel. To stabilize heavier bullets, 1-10 or 1-11 would be best imho

Nice brother outlaw.Who did the hydro?

they were done at a place in oregon. I found them for sale already pre-dipped but once i got them in the colors were way off. I had a feeling they might not match but pulled the trigger on them anyway. They are en-route back to be swapped out for a fde set. Not gonna try and get a perfect match, too big of a headache.

The print is good, just muck up the color on the furniture a bit. Use some dirty grease or oil to stain it a hair darker. Then clean up the excess. They won't be perfect, but they can be damned close.
