IF YOU NEED AN AR-15

If it's already too late, and you can't find anything, and prices are through the roof - and you now NEED an AR-15...

Have Daniel Defense build you one.  You can custom order a rifle from them, and current reports are that you'll have it in a couple weeks - like, more than one week, but probably around TWO WEEKS.  DD has not marked up their prices, they are not gouging, and it's the same as it always was.

Now, DD has a specific page on their website set up for this.  You go to the page, identify how you want your rifle built, and finish the process. THERE IS A RESTRICTION ON THIS...  DD only takes the orders that they can complete THAT DAY, and they shut the page down.  The page goes active again at 12am (midnight) for the next day's orders.  Once those are filled, it shuts down again, until midnight, again.

You'll get a damn high quality rifle, and great customer support, and a great guarantee. You'll get what you want.

Hit the page now (during the day), and it's already shut down.  Hit it up again at midnight, and it's active - I don't know if it will be active tonight, because I'm pretty sure they're closed tomorrow...

Likewise, if you're one that will do this, you will probably be short on time in "making your configuration" when that order page opens up.  Do your homework, do your recon, plan what you want.

Have your barrel picked out, have your rail picked out, cruise the DD website and make informed choices ahead of time.  There are no "bad parts" from DD. There really isn't something on there that would "let you down," or break, because you didn't select the more expensive option, at the time.

I suggest this, at least for a barrel - the 16" midlength gas, LW profile, 1:7 twist.  That will be a great shooting barrel, handle all ranges of ammo you can find, will be accurate, and is a good compromise between barrel length, mobility, and range.  WIth a good 14.5" barrel, you can knock stuff down at 600 yards (training would be the limiting factor in that), so...

Additionally, that barrel is in stock right now.  For how long, who knws, but it's there now.

Good luck.  <thumbsup> <thumbsup>
