I've been researching parts for the last few weeks (nothing is available) and am considering a CMMG upper. Are there any pro/cons to this combination, or should I stick to DPMS uppers for this build? 98Z5V Posted February 14, 2013 Report Share Posted February 14, 2013 They use good components, but they're just slapping them together, or so it seems, these days. OP, if you're prepared to go into the upper, tighten gas block, tighten barrel nut, etc, then you should be okay. If you're expecting to shoot it out of the box, it might work, might not.
