HDWarlord Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I broke down and bought two 33 round oem Glock mags for $60 a piece.
unforgiven Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Bro... :cookoo: You gotta do what you gotta do. :o
Microgunner Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 No, I'm pretty well stocked with what I need and only have wants on my shopping list. Not going to pay gouger prices for wants.
spectrascott Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I bought a couple of mags from a local dealer that were overpriced. I did not have any for my Ruger 10-22 so figured WTF just buy them. They were about 30% over retail but no where near GB or Epay.
imschur Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I still buy PMAGS when I come across them even at slightly inflated prices. Im only buying things that will become extinct here in CT
392heminut Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I'm like Microgunner, I'm pretty well stocked for now. Hopefully I can hold out until this crap settles down.
spectrascott Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I am stocked up on a lot of things to but when it comes to reloading well how stocked up can you be <laughs> I am still hoarding primers, brass and powder when I can find them.
MONTANA308 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I hear ya on that one powder primers and bullets I'm ok on most brass could use some more 308, I'm not hurting yet
spectrascott Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Yeah bullets seem to be the hot item along with primers. I have a bunch but am always looking for more. Not really sure how many you really need? When is enough is there really to much?
Armed Eye Doc Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I have paid a little too much ($25) for some 20 rd metal FAL mags, but that is about it. I think I have enough supplies to last for several months until either poop settles down or hits the fan. I will then have to pay either reasonable prices or decide that crazy prices are the new normal.
unforgiven Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I have paid a little too much ($25) for some 20 rd metal FAL mags.. Thats not bad for metal brother, these days. <thumbsup>
Tripledeuce Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I'v always considered that having an "average" one years supply of everything, powder , primers, bullets was a good place to be. I date everything as it comes in with a magic marker, and keep things rotated. Respectfully Terry
Armed Eye Doc Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Thats not bad for metal brother, these days. <thumbsup>That's why I went ahead and bought 6. I saw others at the same gun show (at New Year's) that they wanted $50+ and saw some rusted ones a couple of weeks later that they were asking $65. :cookoo:
Rsquared Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Alright. All you RRA guys just stay away from DSA and thier FAL mags. I'm still gettin a little here, and a little there for my OSW. Only have about 20 so far. Sheesh.....it's bad enough that we can't get the F-ing 30 rounders here in the "Free State" of MD.
imschur Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I remember paying just under $5 for brand new FAL mags in the early 90's. I think it was from DSA or Entreprise out of the Shotgun News. My how things have changed.
Rsquared Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Aint that the truth. But at least guys like DSA are only charging $20 to $25 for thier mags. New, and made here.....20 years later. Could be worse. Now back to you RRA guys.........stay away. <laughs>
unforgiven Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Hey I resemble that remark <lmao> <laughs> I got lucky on the 5 I found for $10.00 used. :o Bring you'r toy's to Indiana brother Ron. <thumbsup>
Rsquared Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I could do that. But what comes to Indiana......don't stay in Indiana. Where I go...they go. <laughs>But, it would be a good time though.
planeflyer21 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Most of my metal FAL mags I got from AIM Surplus, new S. Korean manufacture on sale. They were $15 each I believe. The polymers I got from RRA at $20 a piece. I'd looked at the Thermolds, which appear to be identical to the RRA mags.Glad I didn't use the Thermolds directly, as they appear to be gouging now.Jon
blue109 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I was a little miffed at paying $25 for 308 PMAGS...so I only bought 2. After looking at GB and AR15.com I dont feel too bad. Im a cheap ass and generally wont overpay for anything. My recriational shooting is about done.for the next year or so because no way im paying this much for plinking ammo.
