washguy
Hi Haystack you cant go wrong with the mega! consider shorter barrels too...both of my 16" shoot 500 yds moa ..so does my 18" you might consider the apex front end...very light Wash
Haystack
Got my receiver set earlier today as well as a Geisele Super Dynamic trigger 3-Gun trigger. Had SSA's, but I didn't particularly like the 2 stage. If I ever upgrade (highly unlikely) I'll get a Tricon. Now to choose my barrel and rail

Haystack
Not yet. I doubt their will be another one; just different upper set ups; unless I decide to one up this build
Haystack
Alright; I have a question on buffer and stock selection. What other manufacturers are their of stocks? I like the Battleline Industries S.A.P.R. collapsible stock with adjustable l.o.p. and comb height. But the Magpul P.R.S. is non-length adjustable. From yalls experience what is the best "precision" rifle stock for my rifle? Cost doesn't matter; quality does.

Rsquared
Don't forget the heavy buffer from Clint @ heavybuffers.com World of difference when it comes to recoil.
Haystack
I cannot find a barrel that can print the MOA I want. What are the top 3 barrel makers? Krieger is back ordered, Shilen doesn't produce a 308 Semi-auto barrel (that I could find), what are other upper-level barrels? I'll file through the different mag releases later. So my lower should be done soon (money permitting)
Robocop1051
My barrel was made from a Satern blanks. Also, Mike Rock from Rock Creek barrels makes a good chunk of metal. Wilson combat and Noveske make really nice barrels too.

Haystack
See how available Lothar Walther and Satern are; what barrels do Larue use? Shilen blanks?
BLKSHEEP
I'll add lothar Walther to that, it's the barrel in my OBR The OBR that Edge referred to is a LaRue. That Rainier Ultra Match barrel uses a Shilen blank, I wouldn't expect to find any top barrels in stock. Haystack
Dang. I'll look into getting a blank machined from an already have gunsmith owned barrel. I'd like 5R rifling, but want the best available. What barrel maker does the military use for M24 barrels?

george_995
I have a Rainiers 18" Select 308 barrel on my maten build. It shoots Sub Moa groups with my reloads.
Haystack
Is their a better barrel in the same general price range? I don't want to buy a barrel and not have it perform to spec. They're made from Satern blanks (I think) so its a good platform to build off of with the right rate of twist. I'll get a 20 inch barrel due to my own preference of a longer barrel for better accuracy at range, and I weight isn't an issue for me.
