Lets Pick Some Sling Hardware for My AR-10

Need to put my AR-10 carbine back together and pin the stock. What ambi sling plate should I go with. How about a sling? Im uninspired

Like Rene, I've got the ASAP plate on my 10 SBR. But I'm using a 1/2 point sling from BDS Tactical. I like the wide padded strap for the heft of the 308 Ar's.

I have the MS3-QD on my 5.56 with the Troy QD adapter over the castle nut.

I think if I were to do it over, I'd do the Noveske QD plate instead.

I do have the Noveske QD plate due in tomorrow or Saturday

The IWC end plate is a great alternative when the Noveske isn't in stock. I have a few of them.

Ive got the black widow plate, and plan to get one of the tactical link 1/2 point convertible

Run the same but mid west industries adapter then have another clip point on the fore grip. I run this set up on my .308, .556 and my 870 and have two of the QD slings

If you want to run a single point I like the Magpul MS4 and run one on both of our AR15 pattern rifles, for my 308 I chose the Vtac style padded 2 point sling from Larue. It is great for carrying around the extra weight of the 308 while hunting and has worked great when running drills with it. Very easy to adjust on the fly. I love the padding.

 

On my AR15 I use a Noveske QD end plate. 

My wives AR15 and my 308 are both on PWS lowers using their enhanced buffer tube system with their qd points.

I could make a design similar to that bds from 550... thats a cool idea! And I could streamline what I offer, as I could make all that type of sling, instead of separate one and two points.

I'd be down with trying something like that then. As I've said before, I'm a fan of the BDS equipment. But keep in mind that theirs is 2/1 point design. It can be either/or. That was one of the things that I like about their particular design. Just sayin.
