imschur Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 Need to put my AR-10 carbine back together and pin the stock. What ambi sling plate should I go with. How about a sling? Im uninspired
unforgiven Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 I use this http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG500/51 and this http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG503/51 for my 14.5.
imschur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Report Posted November 28, 2013 Thats what's sitting in my cart at the moment :)
unforgiven Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 Can't go wrong with that setup brother.Go from 1 point to 2 quickly. <thumbsup>
imschur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Report Posted November 28, 2013 Im just looking for different and good.
Rsquared Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 Like Rene, I've got the ASAP plate on my 10 SBR. But I'm using a 1/2 point sling from BDS Tactical. I like the wide padded strap for the heft of the 308 Ar's.
Robocop1051 Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 I have the MS3-QD on my 5.56 with the Troy QD adapter over the castle nut. I think if I were to do it over, I'd do the Noveske QD plate instead.
imschur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Report Posted November 28, 2013 I do have the Noveske QD plate due in tomorrow or Saturday
FaRKle! Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 The IWC end plate is a great alternative when the Noveske isn't in stock. I have a few of them.
Rsquared Posted November 29, 2013 Report Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) That blows that you've gotta pin the stock my man. But......I understand.........................my state sucks also. Edited November 29, 2013 by Rsquared
EasyEJL Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Ive got the black widow plate, and plan to get one of the tactical link 1/2 point convertible
shepp Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 I have the MS3-QD on my 5.56 with the Troy QD adapter over the castle nut. I think if I were to do it over, I'd do the Noveske QD plate instead. Run the same but mid west industries adapter then have another clip point on the fore grip. I run this set up on my .308, .556 and my 870 and have two of the QD slings
98Z5V Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 BDS sling, like Ron said. I've had one since early 2010, and love the thing to death. <thumbsup> http://www.bdstacticalgear.com/
Boerboel guy Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) If you want to run a single point I like the Magpul MS4 and run one on both of our AR15 pattern rifles, for my 308 I chose the Vtac style padded 2 point sling from Larue. It is great for carrying around the extra weight of the 308 while hunting and has worked great when running drills with it. Very easy to adjust on the fly. I love the padding. On my AR15 I use a Noveske QD end plate. My wives AR15 and my 308 are both on PWS lowers using their enhanced buffer tube system with their qd points. Edited December 30, 2013 by Boerboel guy
Zebra644 Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 BDS sling, like Ron said. I've had one since early 2010, and love the thing to death. <thumbsup> http://www.bdstacticalgear.com/ Yep I have one of these as well. I run this on my cruiser carbine its awesome.
beachmaster Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I could make a design similar to that bds from 550... thats a cool idea! And I could streamline what I offer, as I could make all that type of sling, instead of separate one and two points.
Rsquared Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I'd be down with trying something like that then. As I've said before, I'm a fan of the BDS equipment. But keep in mind that theirs is 2/1 point design. It can be either/or. That was one of the things that I like about their particular design. Just sayin.
washguy Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I use this pplace http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com Earl is a stand up guy :) Wash
