Need cheek riser on DPMS LR-308T

Friends,

I have a DPMS LR-308T with the standard A2 buttstock. Between the buttstock and the receiver I have a "plate" with a hole drilled in it for my rear sling mounting point. To make up for the thickness of the sling mounting plate I had to add a spacer inside the buttstock that sits at the end of the buffer tube and just under the rear mounting screw -- and it took a slightly longer mounting screw, all of this to make up for the fact that this setup makes the buttstock about 3/8" longer than stock. Which I'm fine with

Now that I have sights mounted on the rifle that I like, I find I'm not getting a decent cheek weld, which makes it harder to acquire a good stable sight picture, so I need a cheek riser. All I've been able to find that would give me an adjustable cheek riser is the Star Wars-style adjustable stock from MagPul.

As far as you know, is that my only option to get an adjustable cheek riser on this rifle? I'm not feeling the need to adjust length of pull.

I'm also concerned that a cheek riser could interfere with the charging handle.

If I have to get that pricey MagPul item, I'll have to worry if I can keep the sling mounting plate. I like it.

Thanks for your thoughts!
