Gnat, go see this post, there are images attached.

Matt, I'm sorry, I can't find a link in your post. Timing a brake to 18:48:00 seems pretty radical, as my work on the 'cant' of front sights indicated that far, far less of a deviation from noon/six induced some serious errors. And I'm not sure this can be explained with pictures. In short, what's the reason for not strictly sticking to horizontal/vertical? And what justifies a deviation by 48 minutes? In theory, this issue would also plague guys who don't have muzzle devices. Maybe they need a brake with a cant to shoot straight. That would include guys like me.

OK guys I'm laughing along with y'all... there's times when it's hard to tell what's dead serious here and when not. I'm still learning.

Shibi, believe it or not, no. I post something light-hearted, I get slammed for lack of being serious, and vice versa. This is very strange, but I'm working on resilience. After all, this is basically a friendly group.

Protip: Nobody can tell if you're serious or kidding on the interwebz. Smilies work in your favor.  :))  :))  :))  :))  :))

Those of us who admire your boundless wisdom, such as my humble and curious self, would be glad to hear from you about why you have selected this particular timing, and whether that timing is viewed from the trigger or muzzle end of the rifle.

Didn't see any link for the pix, but even so, what's the explanation for not doing things at noon/six? I've heard things about barrel torque induced by rifling, but nothing that required that much dangle of the angle.

Too many questions.  I figured you already knew the rationale behind my unorthodox muzzle device timing methods.  Which are proven, by the way.  Hmmm...  surprised you didn't know.

By now, I'da thought you could find a link to it and paste it here.  <dontknow>

Coriolis Effect.

A little bit back on topic, have you guys any experience with the matech rear buis? Going for 50 bucks new over at arfcom. Wondering if I should pull the trigger on it so I can at least start shooting my rifle. What from site would you kind gents recommend to go with it?

Yep, very good setup.  $50 is good - snatch it, man.

I got my shims and rail covers in today. Those noveske covers were a pain in the ass. Brake is properly aligned.
