392heminut Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Check this out, a quick detachable AR-15 dust cover. And it comes in FDE for Tom! http://www.strikeindustries.com/shop/index.php/rifle-accessories/ar/upper-parts/ar-ultimate-dust-cover.html Edited May 21, 2014 by 392heminut
survivalshop Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 I like the idea , now they need to make it for 308's. I don't need any , but I would buy one if I needed one .
blue109 Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 if it wasn't already....the AR15 is officially the adult mans barbie doll.
Robocop1051 Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 What's the weight? I think Strike makes a polymer cover. Their parts are generally inexpensive.
shibiwan Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 Heh... I should make a billet dust cover for the barbie dolls. <laughs> <lmao>
gnatshooter Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 if it wasn't already....the AR15 is officially the adult mans barbie doll. So pix of 'Girls With Guns' is like Barbies posing with Barbies. Hot.
98Z5V Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 Ironically, I just worked on a rifle owned by a guy at work. His cover won't stay closed, due to upper receiver machining. One little bump and it flies open. This is his cure. Awesome.
98Z5V Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 Not yet - just worked on it 2 days ago, told him the door was in spec, and matched the doors I have. His upper didn't measure out like other uppers I have. Told him he was screwed. Now, I have a solution for him. I'll get one ordered and installed on his rifle, then report back. <thumbsup>
FaRKle! Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 I'll get one ordered and installed on his rifle, then report back. <thumbsup>Would you mind comparing the weight of it vs the standard door & hardware? Thanks!
98Z5V Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 I'll put it on my coke-gram-scale and let you know what happens brother!
dgtaurus Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Is there a benefit to having one? I can understand if your having issues with your dust cover but otherwise I dont really see the point. IDK maybe im missing something.
planeflyer21 Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 It is another step in the modularity of the lego-osity, in the Barbieization of masculine customization.
392heminut Posted June 8, 2014 Author Report Posted June 8, 2014 It is another step in the modularity of the lego-osity, in the Barbieization of masculine customization. Yeah, what he said! <lmao>
gnatshooter Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 It is another step in the modularity of the lego-osity, in the Barbieization of masculine customization. This makes be wonder if the Ruger 10/22 rifle is like a "gateway drug" to the AR-type machines. :))
FaRKle! Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 I'll put it on my coke-gram-scale and let you know what happens brother! So how many grams of coke was the dust cover equivalent to?

98Z5V Posted June 20, 2014 Report Posted June 20, 2014 I passed the info to the guy at work - he needs to pony up and buy the damn thing already. He's moving slow in this one... As soon as he gets it, I'll do the work.
