  1. What caliber is that?
  2. Welcome to the forum. As long as it is designed for an AR, you should not have any problems with it. To recommend a specific trigger, more information is needed. What trigger do you have currently? What are wanting to accomplish? Are you shooting long distance? Hunting? Plinking? All of them? Are you set on Timney? Any particular model? Are you open to suggestions of other brands? I do not have experience with TImney but there some here that can likely share their knowledge and recommendations. A very good trigger upgrade for the money is the the Larue MBT. They are available in 1 stage and 2 stage, straight and curved and only $87. I have several of these.
  3. This sentiment is why we got the new truck for our camper. The FJ is rated to pull it and worked great for a short trip but I could tell that it was not suited for a cross country pull.
  4. Damn, that sucks man. Sorry to hear that.
  5. Did he taste like chicken?
  6. @98Z5V I figure you will find this on your own, bit no sense taking chances.
  7. I have 2 223W rifles. One is a Bear Creek Arsenal 16" carbine. Last fall, Susan was hitting 600 yds with Hornady 73g match ammo.
  8. A nap.💤
  9. They likely consider 308 to be hunting ammo. I doubt if they will carry 7.62x51 though.
  10. Nice shooting regardless of the rifle.
  11. Here was today's lunch during the cooking. And before the feast.
  12. There is no need to stop coming here. We want to know information that fixes problems. That is what this forum does well. Not all problems are the same and need the same fix. If you have a problem or solution that hasn't been discussed, it helps us to know how to fix the next time this occurs.
  13. That is a sharp looking piece there.
  14. That is some nice leatherwork.
  15. Be sure to include the inside depth of the buffer tube. That is a key to the recoil system functioning properly since you should be good on the spring and buffer.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Is this the rifle he purchased? https://www.stagarms.com/stag-10l-308-m-lok/#ProductSpecsDetail How many rounds through it? Have you tried any other ammo besides your reloads? Can you post a picture of the bolt face with the extractor? Those questions should get the information started until someone who knows more than I do comes along to help.
  17. This appears to be OK, but can you get a picture looking up though the mag well? The gas tube should extend to the middle of the cutout.
  18. The buffer tube looks like it could be screwed in one more turn. It is barely hanging on to the retainer pin. That, along with a buffer tube that is longer than 7 inches internal depth, can contribute to the issue that you appear to be having.
  19. I addition to what @jtallen83 said, Will it hand cycle ammo? Will it hold open on an empty mag with hand cycling? What is the internal depth of the buffer tube?
  20. Welcome from Texas
  21. Welcome from Texas. Be sure to ask any questions you may have. Buying the wrong parts can get expensive.
  22. Welcome to the forum. A description of a firearm without pictures is bad form.
  23. @98Z5V what did you do to piss off the Air Force this time? They say it is an accident. I figure they were aiming for you but missed. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/air-force-jet-accidentally-fires-rocket-arizona-desert-n1050571
  24. I hope you get your dream home. I am useless as far as horses and gunfire go.
  25. @98Z5V, why are you stalking Cliff's deer camp?
