  1. Have you called Armalite? They may have them to sell if you talk to them on the phone.
  2. @98Z5V what is your advice?
  3. I had posted that on your other thread. I see you have more details in this one.
  4. Where does the gas tube end in the receiver? It should end in the middle of the gas key cutout. This is on an AR15 but the idea is the same. PSA has frequently used one that is too short. It will still work OK many times, but it has been a source of problems for others. Armalite carbine gas tube is slightly longer and, if I remember correctly, has a slightly bigger bend to get over the larger barrel nut. Here it is at Armalite. It is OOS currently but you can get on the notification list or call them to see if they have one. https://www.armalite.com/product/ar-10-carbine-length-gas-tube-10007005/
  5. I read an article (and can't find it now) that stated he legally purchased one 45 in 2016 and one in 2018. It did not mention when the suppressor was aquired. There were 2 more guns found at his apartment.
  6. A video from WaPo where an employee states "We just kept hearing gunshots.". It kind of negates the opinion article I linked to.
  7. Regardless, the backlash against suppressors has started. https://www.google.com/amp/s/beta.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/06/01/why-shooting-virginia-beach-sets-an-ominous-precedent/%3foutputType=amp
  8. A faxon pencil profile 308 weighs 1.78 lbs. I would take that as an estimate of what you can expect it to weigh. It will depend on what steel yours is made of as well. https://faxonfirearms.com/16-pencil-308-win-mid-length-4150-nitride/
  9. Welcome from Texas. There are several members from CA that may be able to help you to make a California-legal rifle.
  10. I grew up less than 5 miles from there. I used to watch the street races behind the brewery many years ago.
  11. That was a great commitment to honor the fallen.
  12. Sounds like a fun but frustrating time.
  13. If it is a factory DPMS rifle, it probably has a AR15 length buffer tube. You should measure the internal depth of it to be sure. A good place to go is heavybuffers.com. He will let you know what you need.
  14. Welcome from South of Dallas.
  15. Did you try some of his ammo in your gun? It could be a weaker batch of ammo. Also, can he try a different lower on the 300BO upper? Maybe one of your 300BO that you know works.
  16. They are about 45 minutes from me. I had a positive experience with them. I stopped in one day on the way out of town. I was looking for a part for the first rifle I built. They worked on it for an hour to figure out what I had screwed up even though I originally asked for the part. They offered to put it back the way it came in at no charge. I chose to purchase the parts they changed (receiver extension) and several other items. They then forgot to charge me for a few of the items totalling almost $100. I went back a couple of weeks later to settle with them. I hope they make it right for you.
  17. I went past the 35 cal just because. There was not a real need for this caliber either.
  18. It is a standard AR15 lower. You can change the follower on a standard mag and make it work. I shot it a few more times today. It actually cycled a few times. It may need some more shooting.
  19. I shot it for the first time today. With a single round in the mag and it did not hold the bolt back. It will hold manually with empty mag. It will eject the empty round but not pick up the next round most of the time. It did pick up the round a few times but would not fully chamber it. It could be a magazine issue. I was using unbranded 450 Bushmaster mags from the gun show. All did the same thing. However, they will hand cycle through the whole magazine. I will get some better ones ordered. I do believe it is likely a gas issue. It could also be the buffer. I am using an H1 buffer. I can't get my video to load where I am.
