I have one of their barrels in 223 Wylde. It shoots great. I can't specifically speak to the 308 though. Someone with experience should be along shortly.
Don't be too concerned about the gremlins. There are plenty of people who can talk you through fixes if they are needed. You are doing what you should by reading build threads. Most of the ones that have problems did not read before they bought parts and ended up getting things that were not compatible.

When you are reading, make sure to look for PA10 specific information. There are several different 308AR formats and they are not all interchangeable.

Stick with Primary Arms for your optics. They make some great scopes. Then your kids could have some ramen before the weekend is over.
Welcome to the forum. Glad you found some answers to your problems. PSA, as well as many others, like to make things proprietary with their 308AR builds. It would be nice to have some standards, but then we would be just another gun forum.
