  1. I think that's the goal grouping. I'm not real familiar with handgaurds compatible with AR-10, but there seem to be plenty out there for under the 200 mark. The things to watch...make sure it comes with a barrel nut, make sure it will use a wrench you already own or have access to, and make sure the length will allow you to keep the gas block you have. Low profile gas blocks can be found for $30 or less should you choose a guard that is longer-which might work better with a bipod anyways. Any AR10 guys run a cheap free float they can recommend for estank?
  2. No great input on the bipod, but for the bench-take your time in thinking about how to build some adjustment into it. The level ground situation can be a pain in the ass. We bought a bench with some adjustment built in and even then we had trouble in some of the fields we shoot in. I've been looking at designs to build one and aside from stability, that is my number 2 concern.
  3. Taking them on a cell phone? Try a quick crop before posting them. Doesn't have to be much, but I've found that to solve my issue of them being sideways.
  4. That a bunch of armed window-lickers are invading the Arizona desert....again? Naw, they already know.
  5. That cuts deep man....that cuts deep.
  6. We...you mean WE are working for free. As in all of us, right?
  7. Welcome from San Diego.
  8. Edit button leaves a limit due to some folks who used to like to start crap...and then edit out their previous nonsense. It's one of those "two idiots ruined it for everyone" situations

    Football

You all seen Patriot's Day yet? You know, the movie....heard it was pretty good. Not that accurate though.
  10. Didn't watch, but checked the score from time to time. I am convinced football has fallen into the WWF realm. I don't believe any of these games are real any more. I wonder how Vegas did?
  11. I thought this was going to be a Super Bowl update. Which for the record, isn't going well for the Patriots today.
  12. So, what is it you're trying to improve?
  13. This story is full of sh it.
  14. From the link: "While Lawrence’s smuggling method was never proven, Doody said he believed Lawrence must have hidden the gold pieces — roughly about as wide as a golf ball — in his rectum as he left work after his shifts. Vaseline and latex gloves were found in Lawrence’s locker, and he set off a metal detector inside the building 28 times in a span of 41 days, despite gold never being found on his body, the newspaper reports." I call BS on officer "Doody"
  15. Do you shoot from a bag, a bipod, freehand? Those may affect your decision on a hand guard as well.
  16. Define "better". Many hand guards will function the same for you. It will come down to personal preference. The look you want, the size that fits your hand, what you may want to mount on it. Many will work with your existing gas block. Sounds like you're shooting 1moa which is pretty acceptable for most shooters. 1/2moa guys typically have heavier barrels, longer barrels, and shoot premium or hand loaded ammo. If you're just looking for it to improve your grouping at 100 yards, what ammo have you tried? So many questions we ask when all you want is one simple answer. Welcome to the forum.
  17. Hey, while I doubt it was the case, I'd take a semi sincere photo op over "I don't effin care, let's go play some more golf"
  18. What's really funny is that in a functioning rifle...the new "workaround" for fixed mags will provide a quicker mag change than the old "work around" bullet button.
  19. Mortoring clears a stuck bolt or a cartridge stuck in the chamber. Dropping the mag is a common move to clear a double.
  20. Man that's a nice tattoo. The watch is cool too.
  21. I know....hopefully you can lock to the rear and pry the bastards out of the receiver.
  22. I do. He's manufacturing the mag lock, as well as a proprietary system of his own. Someone pointed out a key issue though. We're officially screwed when it comes to clearing a double feed. If you can't release the magazine without hinging the upper forward, and you can't hinge forward without having the bolt closed, and the bolt can't be closed with rounds jammed in....WTF are you gonna do? Turn the gun around, grab it by the hot end of the barel....and swing that fucker like the club it has become.
  23. Being in the back country, on a 20acre lot surrounded by State Park on one side, a 20 acre and a 39 acre lot on the other sides(which can never be split into smaller lots due to dumbass zoning law that requires future subdivisions of lots to make a minimum 40.00 acre lot-that's right .00, 39.99 is too small requiring you to start with a minimum 80.00acres to split) hopefully at least a few more summers. I'd love to own silencers and SBR's, but until those put money in the bank and clothes on the kids...I'm going to hang it out here with the business my grandfather started in the 50's. Now, California is doing everything it can to squash businesses here...so when they succeed or when the secede...we'll pack the wagons. Now back to our regularly scheduled shot show updates.
