  1. Just make sure the bullet it traveling fast enough and that you have a good plug kit ready.... assuming you got the measurement correct and you aren’t looking for a new truck afterwards.
  2. It helps if you throw a strap around the center of the tire to make sure the blast pushed the sidewalls and gets the to seat. Starting fluid, deodorant...anything explosive really.
  3. What makes you say that? I don’t know anything about the $&!?@$ price of lumber being sky high.
  4. I’d really like one built in a home defense style. Nice and quiet, not over penetrating...would take too dam much air to have a 10-shot capable gun pushing heavy slugs semi auto. I really want something a little more fun that puts a little more whomp on the squirrels around my place. The .22 break barrel $300 rifle I have does t quite cut it.
  5. So there I was...minding my own business when some center of uranus posts a link to an air gun site and get me thinking about them again. I’m really liking the idea of one of these right now: http://www.lcsairarms.com/ Lucky for me my dreams of owning a certain 338 have never materialized and to top it off...my wife is behind the idea. I’ve got her convinced that as long as we can pump air, and melt something down...we’ll have a rifle that does a little damage at least. Currently torn between the .30 and the .25. I know we’ll get a few more shots per tank out of the .25, but I’d sorta like something delivering as much energy as possible. I’d go for one of the big bores, but like the ability to have semi auto (not to mention full auto on this one) and to get more than a handful of shots per tank. Some of the .45s and .357’s can put out some serious power, but you’d have to refill regularly and hire a Sherpa to drag the big bottle along if you ever wanted to use it away from a bench. So thanks a lot @unforgiven I have a feeling this is going to get stupidly expensive.
  6. 7” sounds about right for that buffer. It ain’t for a 308.
  7. What’s the depth of an ar15 tube? Wrong part? Just guesses
  8. Silent captured system, right? Designed for a shorter tube maybe?
  9. I hope you know what he meant when he mentioned shims. If you had to crank hard enough to loosen the extension, either you needed a shim kit in there, or that extension was not torqued to spec - which could absolutely happen.

    Grilling

I swear by smoking tri tip to 125 internal. Then throw it on the gas grill on high, lid open for 1.5 minutes per side for a smaller one 3lb or so and 2 min per side on a larger one. I avoid the pre-seasoned and give it a mix of salt garlic and pepper. I’ve gotten lazy and buy seasoning called “the blend” which seams to do nice on most beef.
  11. She’s a big pup. Looks like a handful. I can’t wait til this house is done. We’re starting to shop for pups we can get towards the end of the summer.
  12. Jeep, Willy’s, Landcruiser...whatever. You would be pissed if you ordered parts for your Jeep and they were really for a Toyota....even though the website claimed super Uber-cool Jeep parts.
  13. And not even good beer...where’s my MGD and a can of spam??!

    98's 6mm ARC

I hope that was said with a smile, mine was. I think you get credit for the wildest color on a gun here to date. My concern is that your response was very short and to the point. If I struck a nerve, I am truly sorry.
  15. Beautiful progress.

    98's 6mm ARC

You know it was funny. We love you too!
  17. From the video, it appears you stop...put both feet down and manually maneuver it to be pointing in the direction you would like to travel.
  18. This is the pic of the day thread...not “who’s the most envied A-hole of the moment”. Though I’m pretty sure you won that for the day.
  19. What is your overall length on the round?
  20. If it ran and then quit running...you aren’t undergassed. I’d bet something came loose with the gas tube or something is somehow plugged up. Dismantle and check it out. Saw a gas tube roll pin issue cause something similar once on a buddies gun at the range. Tube came free.
  21. You even paid to have it installed??? You must wipe your ass with fifty dollar bills.
  22. You mean the MRAD with a $700 bipod on it? What kind of sick bastard puts a $700 bipod on his rifle?
  23. Wow. Always shoot with a buddy. Especially if you’re playing with something wild. Even the basic stuff would be good to have a pal around. And make sure if you’re going out solo, someone should know about it and know where to come find you when you don’t come home. Chances are next to nothing we’ll ever experience something like this, but it’s a good reminder of how it can go south unexpectedly. That’s crazy.
  24. Good news on the sights. I was going to warn that there are a lot of air soft knockoffs out there that are pretty much garbage. If you see MBUS sights at a price too good to be true...it really is.
