I really don't want to play arm chair quarter back with the LE in Orlando , but I have some issues with their response for this shooting . The first responders were told to stand down & stay in place while this guy was still shooting people , why & who gave this SD order ? They had no idea that he had any explosives , that info came out later with negotiators , they wanted to go in , but were told to wait for SWAT , sounds like good advice if this POS had not shot up a night club full of people , but this was an active shooting , & they knew more people were inside . Shouldn't they have been just room cleared to find him & engage him , to save more lives ? Like I said , I wasn't there , so hard to say , but three hours later the SWAT went after him , thats a long time to get $hit together , how many bled out in that time that could have been saved ? I'm not questing the LEO's on seen , I'm wondering why it took so long & why the long wait , just doesn't make sense to me . The so called Bomb vest he was supposed to have may be one reason , but even that should not have made that slow of response. Did the negotiators call this , what were they trying to do save this asshat ? And finally , to our AG who said we will never know what this POS's reading was , WHAT ! its as plain as the nose on your dumbass face . This had to come from the Jackass in Office , including all the redactions from the transcripts that were un-redacted later . These imbeciles really don't have a clue & don't care , even after almost eight years they are still a Pee wee team !

Has the Bolt Head Space been checked ? What fire control Group are you using ? What Butt Stock system are you using ? I'm not familiar with the JP Silent Spring system , never used one , but there could be spring binding , also might have something to do with the Receiver Extension ( Buffer Tube )

I had to read up on why they are even used in such a large volume Pistol Brass case , seems it started with then non toxic Primers & they produce a substantially larger flash & using a Large Primer ( non toxic ) would deform or separate the Primer cup . I also think there is a $$ factor involved . They can have them , I'll stick with the LG. Premiered ones .

You say you have old eye's , good glass will make the pleasure of shooting , much more pleasurable . Inexpensive Scopes are just that , they work ,but Glass clarity with old eye's makes a big difference . I'm a Nikon fan also & also Burris , I'm kinda cheap also , Nikon & Burris are lower middle of the road ,but they have great Glass on them .

Your not alone , its one of the things you have to live with when owning a some what proprietary product , no matter how good it is . There are some DPMS GII owners feeling the same issue with after market Charging Handles .

Interesting , but I have a few observations , How well it holds up to Mortaring to remove a stuck Cartridge or spent case from the chamber ? I can see it failing with repeated attempts to accomplish this , right where the extra side handle meets the original design , at the latch . I have never broke an AR Charging handle & I have put them through a lot . One other thing , the Video makes a point of the operational shot comings of the original AR design , but the AR charging handle is an Ambidextrous design & with the newer model types , like the Mecharmor designed ,TacOps-1 & many others , makes it a truly Ambidextrous design , with only two fingers , from ether hand ,are needed to unlatch & operate it . I would like to see some real life testing results , before I lay down two Bills on one . JMHO

I've had this 1911 since the 80's , not sure what really the year was , because I was so into this stuff at the time & so many firearms coming & going , its hard to relate . Paid $ 200 for it back then , guy didn't like the recoil. Has a Chrome match Barrel from the factory & the Pistol reminds of the old Remington Rand I used to carrie , not legally back then , but didn't care , I knew a lot of LE & they said the nature of my Business would give me a pass if I got into trouble . ( Class 1 & 3 FFL ) The machining in side is kinda rough , but OK in the right places . As you said , a lot of Custom guns & some race guns back then used this as a base . I'll not part with it , that's for sure .

I long ago installed a Match Hammer & sear combo ( I think Ed BROWN,s ) in this 1911 clone & it was good enough to shoot ,but I knew I had to do some work to smooth it out , just never got around to it till I took it to the range the other day & had to clean it , so I took it down to the Bare frame. I used stones to hand polish sear mating surfaces & anything else the mated or showed signs of friction . This 1911 clone has a Match Trigger, S/S Combat Grip Safety I installed already , the only thing I have left that I want to do is a Flat MainSpring Housing. I noticed at the Range shooting it , that it would sometimes have a really stiff Sear trip once in a while , so Trigger pull was from 5 - 6+ #'s before I smoothed things out & now has a very consistent 4 3/4# , very nice clean drop . Its been so long , I had to look at the schematic to make sure I was installing the Sear & Disconnector correctly , Heminut & others can flame me if you want , but its been a long time .
