Is the AR a 308 or 5.56 ? Is that someone purposely putting their finger in there to show how it gets pinched ? I was taught correctly on how to work the M1's action before I had a chance to get M1 Thumb . <thumbsup>

Colt filed for Bankruptcy ?
survivalshop replied to survivalshop's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
No matter what is what . I just found it , well not real surprising , but it caught me off guard , Colt in Chapter 11 . I will be willing to bet that they find a way to keep the Company going . I have never had a problem with Colt 1911's or Gold Cups , the only Pistols I wish I would have kept was the Gold Cups & my Colt Python , of course <thumbsup> . -
This article says it did & whats with the 1911 jamming ? <dontknow> https://foreignpolicy.com/2015/06/15/why-cops-and-soldiers-fell-out-of-love-with-colt-guns/

While reloading yesterday I misadjusted my newer Redding Neck Bushing FL sizing die , I clean my Dies before each use , but this time I miss-adjusted the free play in the Bushing & it didn't size the necks completely . I caught it while Trimming , since I trim or set up to trim, if it takes anything off or not . It didn't take me to see one or two of these incomplete sized necks to know something was not right & sure enough I had a quite a bit of free play when it should have been, back off,1/16 of a turn after touching the bushing , its to give a .003 to .004" for the bushing to center on the shoulder . This is a relatively new Die to me & I made mistake , be it that I thought I knew the right setting or I just didn't think about it . Its whats nice about a std Sizer Die , No Bushing , but the ability to change Bushings to get the proper Neck tension for different Brass is a good thing also. . I caught this very early in the reloading process , pretty much right out of the Tumbler , but it goes to show us all , its easy to make mistakes & I would have probably caught it with the the feeding test of a loaded round . That would have made it to the second to last process in reloading , I would have had all the brass Trimmed & primed , resizing would probably screw my case length up & would have to size , trim , all over again . All I had to do was lube the cases back up & size them & clean them again to remove the Case lube.( something I couldn't do with them Primed ) Not sure how well you can see the neck sizing ring The bottom case is sized correctly , verified by digital calipers .

Whoops !

2.015" ? for .308 Its not a Bolt action & unless you pick up a chamber gage to measure the chamber dimensions for trimming , 2.005 is recommended trim to length . I have tested the max case length to the trim to length & the trim to length produced better groups & lower ES & SD readings on my rifles .I have a thread some where around here on it . What ever works for you , is OK with me . <dontknow>

Its Hollywood , they live in a dream world , so why would anything they come up with make any kind of sense.

The only one of those loaded & narrow minded questions that should be considered is # 3 , that answer should be yes to anyone who owns an AR 15 . # 2 , you can ask that about any caliber & # 1 is meaningless except for some special operations that are not normal for civilians. Yes, it is probably why this cartridge was even designed , but has expanded nicely because of what the base cartridge of the 300BLK is designed around , could do . <thumbsup> The only thing the 7.62x39 has going for it is cheap , junk ammo ! <dontknow>

98 When I was trying to get the Chrono working with the five shots in the center aiming point , the last shot did give a reading , the Amax, with 43gr. of TAC did register , my notes read it was 2505 fps & another thing is the # 5 group only had two shots & that may have made a difference in avg. vel. , the others were three shots , ( It was # 3 that had only two shots) my normal way of testing is five shot avg.. I was just testing for Velocities & didn't care if I had two or five , just wanted to see what they were doing . I knew there was something wrong when my first shot of the day was over 5000 fps ! The dents were real good ones , the kind that will not chamber , the kind that look like the BCG wanted to bend the case in half, <laughs> I had to pull the Bullet & dump the powder & remove the recapping pin on the sizer die to resize the case to get that dent out enough for it to chamber . I was also impressed with the IMR 4895 Powder , but will not be using it for further testing , as said, I'm going all TAC on my 308 ammo , it is as close as I have came to the WC 846 .

Yes ! Turn yourself in now , ahead of time & get it over with ! <lmao>

That dude in that show ,has some strange hair , looks like he put his fine in a power outlet . <laughs>

<lmao> Try a different set of gages & a different Dummy round,( make sure the case & COL are to spec's ) with out the Ejector installed in the Bolt . You can also oil up the bolt lugs & cycle the Action a few hundred times , maybe less , can be done with just the complete Upper Assembly , & check HS again .
