One thing they don't say is that the actual cartridge dimensions ( with the same bullet ) are the same , be it a 308,7.62x51 or .223, 5.56x45 . I guess I should have no face or hands by now because of all the wrong ammo shot in the wrong chambers . The whole 308/7.62x51 issue is blown out of proportion . AS is its smaller brother . What 98 said is spot on .

I'll give a full review of it , its in route . I just can't believe I took my 300BLK apart & now its just like a non gun , I feel I hurt it or something ! <laughs> That 9" was kinda short to me .

I just ordered 8 # 's of Ramshot TAC , will see how it works . Never used it before & since I can't get my normal Powder any more , I need to try something . I have to order some 155gr'ers from some where later , to try .

Polish the chamber also . You should not , as you probably know ,swap Bolts in different barrels . I can see where a Bolt that is broken in , in one Barrel, may not perform in a Barrel Extension of another one , even if Head Space passed in both . Meaning , it my extract fine in one ,but may not in the other Barrel . You can over do the spring pressure on that Extractor & cause problems also . Over gassing may also be an issue . Are you using the same magazines , have you tried different brands ?

There are only so many forging factories here & most Receiver Manufacturers apply their own logo's to raw forgings when the finish machining them. Not sure if this is the case with these . <dontknow> Yes photo's or it didn't happen <thumbsup>

Not many for. the 308AR , most are using proprietary Barrel Nuts.

I just read this thread of the group buy , I'm going to have to look down here more often . My Hammer & trigger pins were pretty snug with out tightening the set screws ( pre ban Receiver ) & I used a little loc-tite on the locking set screws . I just don't like screws in my FCG ! So, I want to make sure they stay where they are. I put up photo's & at the " That was Easy " thread . I got inconsistent readings on my Trigger pull gage , from 3 3/4 # to a little over 4 # , not much & will probably settle out after some rounds down range this weekend .

I have a 13" on order to replace the 9"Troy Battle rail hand guard that I sold off my 300BLK build , any one use one yet ? All I had to do is mention I wanted a longer hand guard while a friend was over ( yes I have some <dontknow> ) & he bought it on the spot & I installed it the next day on his AR 15 Carbine with mid length gas system , with A2 sight. This rifle is set up for Hunting ( Hog , Varmint's ) so no need for rails on top . I like the large Barrel nut , good heat sink & if no one has used this HG , I will do a complete write up on it when I install it .

I have seen no lil'gun for sale or for that matter, most of the normal Handgun powders available . I see some powders are coming back , but the ones I have been using for 20+ years are not out there , like 2400 , I like that for my 44mag & it & my old formula Blue dot , whitch is different then the modern formula , so I can scratch that off my list . It seems the days of just picking up a powder to try are over , its get what you can , when you can , which I think is BS.

Ya & the 25 rounder in there looks good also ! My 20" has an A2 stock also & it feels just right . <thumbsup>

Are you a lefty ? Is that why you remove your finger from the Trigger ? I would have thought a Ambi. Charging handle would be less expensive & would need no alterations to the Upper Receiver .

I totally agree with your assessment of what our armed forces will or will not do, but just because you have a group or branch , doesn't mean you know their make up .They will never devolve that info . You or I with even good intel , will not get it & I would have never thought this way except that the usurpers in control of our Government have lied to us on every thing . When I see their lips move, I know its a lie . I really have never seen or heard of the deception these people have perpetrated , in my life time . None that I have seen. Probably because there are so many different configurations of the 308 AR , unlike the MilSpec Ar 15/16/M4 Receivers.

There are a buch of Areo builds documented here , just have to look in the Build section & DPMS sections & you will find talk on the Areo Receivers . Its a good product from what I read , I have no experience with them . I'm sure others here will jump in , it hasn't stopped them before . <thumbsup> <laughs>

I'm sure the Community organizers are already preparing for this or have action plans drawn up . I think it will take longer than three minutes & it will be a domino effect , one city after another . They sure rushed to judgement on the charges , the Leo's are mixed races & sexes , so this should be interesting . What is important is what platform to build & use its specific components , the big two are Armilite AR 10 & the DPMS LR 308 AR , there are many more that use some of their own proprietary components, RIA,LMT, LWRC,POF & there are others , but the main two are the AR10 & DPMS Pattern. If you look up the pined data , they may help . My suggestion would be to pick what Receiver set ( Upper & Lower ) you like & go from there . I say set, because some Receivers don't play well together when different manufacturers are used . Then you can see what everyone else is using & working or ask if this or that works . Pretty much we here have used it or have knowledge of its use . If you use known components , you build should go smoothly as long as all safety checks have been followed .

I have read the Palma's are real touchy on how they are loaded & the chamber config.. Never used Palma type bullets of any Cal.. Seems like they are another long range Bullet configuration. If the std MK are pricey , the tipped ones will be more & I'm cheap now a days , trying to get the best bang for my buck , but don't want 147-149 gr. Ball bullets.
