  1. At least they know where this ones at ! <dontknow>
  2. Maybe that's why she can get such low notes , deep throat ? <lmao>
  3. Yes , you were all baited <laughs> Wanted to see if someone jumped in with both feet before they read the whole post . <thumbsup>
  4. Or has one " Hanging " <laughs>
  5. Thats not what I said or meant , the manufacture of NFA machine guns for sale to the public was halted in 1986 by law . The only ones a Citizen can buy now are ones made prior to that . That is what should be over turned .
  6. Any one check one of these out or have one ? I have one one then way & got it very cheap , even though its a refurbished unit , I still got it it very cheap . I have several refurbished Nikons & they work fine, so not really worried about that fact. This is replacing the Nikon , Buckmaster 6x18x40 , I have on my 16" 308AR because it has a duplex reticle & I want the MilDot for the longer ranges I will be shooting later .
  7. As most know here I'm doing the same , but will not do over 300 yards till early November . I'm taking an early bow hunt in late October. I will go check out the range with the longer yardage before this & will take both rifles , just in case . <thumbsup> Its been fun so far & a lot of work to just get loads that shoot well out of both rifles with different weight bullets , to make a good comparison between the two . I believe there may be an slight advantage to the longer barrel , but not enough to make a shorter one into having a disadvantage .
  8. That noise could be a couple of things , spring twang is one , bottoming out the buffer spring could be another .
  9. Should have broken all his fingers while he was at it .
  10. Be funny if she lifted her leg & had a Hanger there <lmao>
  11. With any collapsable stock, a nice tight fit is much to the rifles & your advantage . ( as long as its movable , that is ) <thumbsup>
  12. All that noise reduction is nice , but if you are regulated to shoot at a range , you will be or should be ( most its mandatory ), wearing some kind of hearing protection . Not many there shooting suppressed firearms . I shoot at a FOP range & all the years shooting there , I have seen only one suppressed firearm there . Hay , if you want one , I have no problem , its your money , spend it the way you see fit , of course. <thumbsup> I do know some who use them for hunting & that may be one of the best civilian uses for them , I can't argue with that .
  13. Odd , I signed & verified & the numbers didn't change , go figure . I don't think any petition to this administration has a snow balls chance of accomplishing anything , but will keep signing any way. I personally don't see the big deal on suppressors ,except for the COOL factor, I think they are over rated , except for some military use , I personally have no use for them & yes I have had several . Of course that was twenty five or so years ago. I will probably not make friends with this , but I think these items should be regulated , maybe not a $200 tax on them though , but it is a one time tax. The one that should be over turned is the manufacture of select fire firearms for civilians . They can say all they want about how they didn't ban anyones ability to purchase one , but they did . Some cost as much as my first house to buy .
  14. Was he the one that said " Americana ? We will get more of this with out an unsecured boarders.
  15. If you load one round in the one live round in the mag. & fire it , does the bolt hold open on this last shot ? If it does , your not under gassed. Use this method to check your different ammo types. You may need to disassemble the bolt to inspect it . Don't read into this that all built rifles need an extensive break in . The problem with most of these builds is probably miss matched parts to build them , nothing wrong with the procedure , but they, as a complete component group have not been tested to see if they play well together , as with any rifle manufacturers components . The term Frankengun is what some of these builds are , because they are a gathering of parts from different manufacturers. To say one of these frankenguns are not up to par as a factory manufactured rifle is probably true with a novice building the rifle. Now, have a custom rifle builder or a good rifle smith build one & you will not have these problems , wonder why , because they use known components , that work for them & also they know how to fit them . Now before you say ," I've built six of these rifles & don't have problems , what are you talking about " , well really, you've build six or what ever number & had no problems .Try a couple of hundred of these type rifles & then you have a right to say your a rifle builder. My testing of built rifles to all of my customers is , once the rifle has gone through the safety testing , making sure all in the FCG works & it passes the one round test & holds the BCG back , then two rounds & then three rounds fired to make sure its not doing anything funny , then my final test is to take four( & sometimes more ) fully loaded mags & fire & reload full mags as fast as I can ,until they are all gone & if I get no failures , the rifle is done & is cleaned for inspection before the customer gets it . If you want to know if I have any builds fail this test , I can say no . I did have a CMMG 308 lower that started malfunctioning when the Magpul LR Pmags first came out , it did pass the test with DPMS mags . No matter what I did , it would not function with Pmags , steel , no problem . That CMMG lower is not in use any more , a DPMS lower took its place & works with any mag. now . I'm not saying this to insult anyones capabilities , but you are most likely building a untested rifle platform & some tweaking may need to be done to make it function correctly . The manufacturers builders ( which are people just like us ) have it easy , the components they are assembling have been extensively tested for there use.
  16. Good to hear .
  17. All I have to say is , Damn !
  18. New weapon system on the market for DPMS & it will take a while for after market replacement components . I thought they were to use AR 15 type hand guards , but more than likely they are propriety to DPMS.
  19. I have one in my 16" 308 & works great , not as nice as the SSA in my 20" 308 , but very close & a little different way of holding the hammer pin in .
  20. Check fitment of gas tube in gas block , should be a some what of tight fit . Its normal to get some bypass gas until it seals its self . If too loose , it will never seal. Your video shows a tight set of rings , get a higher round count to break this rifle in . Are you taking your barrel off the upper receiver to clean/inspect ? If so , the rifle will take longer to set in . If its just certain ammo failing , use whats working . Run her wet !
  21. One way to test the gas ring tightness is to take the BCG & flip it over & if the bolt drops all by its self , by its own weight , its too loose .Sounds like you need to bring the round count up to seat components. <thumbsup>
  22. You say you have aprox. 250 rounds through both rifles , just shoot & clean .You have already broken them in .
  23. Wow , I've had many FAL 's , including an FNHB in select fire & never had a problem with any of them .
  24. As said , try factory or mil spec ammo . I would use mil spec 7.62x51 to break them in. Strange the RP brass is the only ones you are having problems with. Normally with a tight chamber , it wouldn't be particular of what brass screws up . Another thing to try is a Small Base sizer die , it will size the case lower in to the web of the case , as you probably know .
