  1. We Must have photo's , of course.
  2. I purchased a NRA Gun raffle Ticket last week & was one of the winners , I won a Stoeger 12 ga. side by side Coach shotgun. I never win anything , wow . Take that, 392heminut, the lucky guy who always wins something ?
  3. You have great taste , Edge , you picked about the most expensive line up . ? The new Ford SD Trucks are Aluminum Bodies , my 2016 is the last of the Steel Body SD Trucks , it looks like it just came off the show room floor , under the truck doesn't look like its has 34K on it , it looks like its never been driven . My F150 had a hair over 150 K on it & was a sound Truck & I could have got a lot more years out of it , but I wanted a 4x4 , for a couple reasons as I posted & I would not purchase a brand new one & how much is lost ,just driving it off the lot . I paid 36K for it , was the best deal in a 250 mile radius here , it doesn't have all the goodies , like if I picked up a F150 4x4 & they were priced about the same , but I got a whole hell of a lot more Truck for what i paid . This thing is a beast , the previous owner had Flowmaster , all Stainless Steel , welded duel exhaust on it & that 6.2 V8 sounds great & no noise at cruz . Look for low milage used trucks , they are better deals , this is a Ford certified Truck & has a couple K left on the original Bumper to Bumper & another 12K or one year bumper to bumper warranty on top of that , not to mention 7 year or 100K Drive train warranty from the factory . This Truck is not the highest end one like the one you show , but has more crap then I will use or need . The XLT & Off road Packages are nice , I had fogged up out side mirrors yesterday ( ya I know , big deal ?) but a push of a button & they just disappeared .
  4. RIP
  5. Measure the Buffer Spring length & count the Coils on it , Measure the Depth of the Receiver Extension , as has been said , nothing wrong with the DPMS Buffer system if correct components used. Why spend more $$ if not needed . Once this info is posted here , it may have clues as to what is going on . I too want to hear about the blown out GB .
  6. M14/M1A
  7. I also agree with both above , try a std Gas Block & depending on the internal depth of you Receiver Extension , use the proper Buffer & Spring . You should measure the internal Depth & post it here , we get a lot of this type of issue .
  8. I can see my Hunting trips back onto Ohio now . My 05 F150 two wheel drive was getting long in the tooth for 2K mile trips , plus the last time I was up there , coming back in a Blizzard through West Virginia was about the scariest ride I have ever had in my life . I also need a 4x4 to drive on the Beach here now , because the Hurricanes screwed them up so bad & it will take years to get them back to the way they were . I can get back to Surf Fishing & taking the Dogs out there . To all you poor guys that don't like Ford trucks , you're just jealous ?. I just traded in a 14 year old F150 that was in great shape & had no problems with for those years . The only problem I have with this Truck is, I have a Truck payment now , again , but it will be the last Truck I will ever buy in my life time .
  9. What was that word , loquacious ? Good explanation though , thats for sure , much more than we usually get .Good job .
  10. I purchased a new to me Truck today , a 2016 F250 Super Duty 4x4 , really going to hamper my fun funds for a while, till I get to pay off the wife Mustang next year .
  11. Their Idiots
  12. Nice to have an area that Tanks can maneuver in for back up .
  13. The Shim pak that comes with these types of HG's are for just the proper alignment of the Upper Rail & to also reduce Torque # on the Barrel Nut . There is a reason for a Torque spec range on AR type Firearms & its mostly to align the Gas Tube passage into the Upper Receiver , because the Gas Tube needs to be free floating & properly aligned with the Carrier's Key for proper function. 80# Torque is at the deep end & that's if your Torque Wrench is calibrated , you could be 60# or 100# unless Wrench is certified . This may come to a surprise to some , but I haven't used a Torque Wrench on AR's in many many years with no Issues , its all about the feel & I've been doing these for a long time . I also believe a high torque setting only stresses the Receiver Threads , its more important to have a good flush & secure fitment of the Barrel to the Upper Receiver .
  14. I have several HG's that use shims to time the the Barrel Nut & had no issues with them ALG HG's are one of them . The Shims fit between the Barrel Nut & the Barrel Extension . Here is a installation guide for an ALG HG , it looks difficult to assemble , but its real easy , I think some just over think it . https://d1kuq0t26vxee8.cloudfront.net/media/files/ALG_-_V1_Instructions.pdf
  15. Some interesting info about this round .
  16. Ordered a Unitized Gas Cylinder from Brownells today , its a SAI GC & not a USGI , but I wanted a new manufactured one , not a used one & I know several that are using them & are working great . $ 93 to my door . Op Rod & some small parts & she be done , I have a new in the wrapper USGI Gas Piston & a used one , for it already .
  17. That's Porno got you ? ?
  18. Language also sounds like it includes some of those bump triggers also . Have to wait & see .
  19. I tried several different ways to copy & Paste , this is the best I could come up with . I don't think it's me, its from an email . ?
  20. I think spelling it out for Robocop is always a good idea .?
  21. DPMS LR308 platform doesn't have these issues , Armalite AR 10 platform being the other one , also no one is copying the AR 10 ( not sure what the Brownells copies are like as of yet ), but they sure are with the DPMS version . The problem is 99% of the other 308AR manufacturers are making their Rifles & components as a copy of the DPMS LR 308 , but making up their own spec's & not making them to the same as DPMS or they mix & try to match AR 10 & DPMS Parts or spec's & tolerance stacking is the result . It could also be poor quality control or just bad planing by these Manufacturers . I have always said , pick a platform & build it to it & use quality components & parts & these 308AR's will run & that goes for mixing Receivers , stay with the same manufacturer of both .It seems PA is mixing different platform parts , thinking they have reinvented the wheel .As this is very simple , but if you look , most issues are really down to cost savings , you get what you pay for in most circumstances .
  22. No Photo's ?
  23. The original Drawings for the AR 10 should be available some where , someone has them . Are you making or using an M16 Auto sear , if so , there are probably dimensional differences in the two Auto Sears & the Pin placement in the Receiver because of it , but you probably know that . Of course you know the Hammers are also different.
