  1. Smoked beef brisket. Smoke one slab for 6 to 8 hours then put in the oven overnight at <200* keep it covered with aluminum foil and add your "Secert BBQ Sauce". Slice on meat slicer and your GTG.
  2. It gives the term "Calgon take me away " a new meaning.
  3. Heard there is over a million Pmags sitting in a warehouse waiting for a military contract. I'll be picking up a case of them when they go on sale.
  4. Okay ... I have to say it ! Hornady Z Max ammo ... One head shot. Hmmmmm
  5. The breach end of the AR-10 has more metal where the barrel extension threads into the barrel ,also the barrel extension weighs more. 6oz sounds about like minimum weight difference.
  6. Now if you asking me what die set manufacturer I'm using , which has nothing to do with the powder drop , since its all Dillon , i'm using Forster competition die set. Yeah, thanks. Forster ,now its on my list to look at too.
  7. Are you using a Dillion shell plate holder ? What brand die is being used ? Just curious !
  8. Jon, Cost ? Need other details ? I am interested.
  9. LL you have got to get into CAD. When I get a chance I'll post some sites for you to check out. Solidworks program is one that i am learning to use , there are others that are also very good.
  10. Maybe you could mount them on some sharks ! Dr. Evil ! <lmao>
  11. Bringing this thread back from the grave. I was looking at a JP adjustable gas block today and I was wondering if the guys who are using it have experienced leaking around the adjustment nut? And how much blow by ?
  12. Have not shot one , But Do Not have a Comp/Flash/Brake on the end of your gun when you shoot that Sabo round ! I bought 10 bullets online and have not put them into ammo yet, paid a premium for these. Saving those for a special day.
  13. I am in the east valley of Phoenix. Flagstaff is nice, it actually has four seasons of weather. Great place to visit. Other great small towns are Payson and Prescott.
  14. Reading articles of the shop in WA that sells air guns and had their shipment detained because the flash hider were painted black instead of red or orange. What if guys with AR's painted the flash hiders RED. :cookoo: How pissed off would the police be ! <dontknow>
  15. Welcome from AZ. I've been to Port Orchard a couple of times, grew up in WA.

    BABY SEALS ! <laughs>
  17. Wow ! Hate and Fear <dontknow> The $350 price tag will limit the sales for this novel item. Its a fun toy. Empty a mag in ten seconds or less. Practice makes your technique better, mag dumps are fun ! Did the show and tell at one of my freinds shop and he said " Get that out of my building now ! " That was back in Jan 2011, Things haven't changed much. If it gets banded ,oh well. Its a toy and not every one can get NFA goodies .
  18. Good looking basic rifle. <thumbsup> I need to do one like this for my daughter.
  19. Are you kidding ! Its like a rocket trying to enter the atmosphere with out the use of computers, too many varibles. You have a bullet moving through three kinds of waves, the ballistic coeffient changes the speed ,other changes like air temp, speed of sound ,humidity, wind and many more. Its all a compromise ... I just want to get close on a load. I can control the explosion with the primer and powder combo. Seating height and crimp pressure can be adjusted to find a safe medium. This is easy as wind tunnel testing. Now my brain is fryed.
  20. SAAMI / ANSI standards ,pressures. Chamber and cartridge drawings. Info & specs http://www.saami.org/specifications_and_information/index.cfm
  21. I have used this method for a while but I am thinking the OCW will use less ammo to get to the same point. I still make my load development in mag size quantities, did it again today. I must be an old dog because I cant learn any new tricks. <laughs>
  22. Today I made 4 batches for the 10mm Hand gun: 9.3gr - 20rds 9.5gr - 15rds 9.7gr - 15rds 9.9gr - 10rds New Starline brass ,CCI 300 primers and Imr 800-X powder. OAL between 1.255" to 1.260" with a very light crimp on the Lee FC die.
  23. From what I have read this saves on ammo, 3 shot groups on several targets oposed to 20 shots on one target. I have been using the Ladder method to do my load development. Dump a mag and measure the size of the group then compare it to the next batch. As it gets smaller ,the powder charge is getting closer to the node. When someone figures out the OCW , PLEASE post a short cut !
  24. 6.8 upper with Magpul mid FF rail
