That scared the crap outta me!

Far superior to the standard M&P pistol. Since it has the Performance Center sear installed from the factory the trigger pull is greatly improved. About 4.5 #s with a very quick reset. Quite acceptable for a combat pistol. And the pistol feels smaller in my hands compared to other pistols I own of similar size.

New S&W M&P CORE arrived. Now I need a MRDS and holster.

UPS says it arrives tomorrow.

Just ordered me a new S&W M&P 9mm Pro Series C.O.R.E (Competition Optic Ready Equipment) Performance Center pistol w/ 4.25" barrel. Comes with two 17 rnd. magazines and the slide is milled to accept a MRDS. Now I have to find a MRDS and a hloster.

Finally heard back from Customized Creationz. They said that due to the XDm's tapered slide they have to mfg a mounting plate for the RMR. $243 plus shipping. I've decided instead to buy a new S&W M&P 9 Pro Series C.O.R.E. which comes from the factory cut for a MRDS and is equipped with tall sights.

I put my CMMG Sierra .22lr upper on my AR when using the Slide Fire. Had to install a 3# trigger to make it work though which required I cut 2.5 coils from the firing pin return spring and sharpen the firing pin to make the 3# trigger work the 22 upper. But it all finally came together. Rock and roll.

They're made in two styles now. The newer version looks much more like a collapsible stock.

I've been reading on line about adding a MRDS to my XDm9 via milling the slide and I've happened upon the S&W M&P 9 Pro Series C.O.R.E, which is factory cut for a MRDE and comes with suppressor sights. Now I want one of these instead of modifying the XDm9. Anyone with M&P Pro Series expierience or any thoughts?

I removed the rear sight on my XDm9. It came out right to left. I used a brass sight drift and a two pound hammer. Just tapped, tapped, tapped for about an hour and the sight slowly drifted out. Patience was the key.

Took in 24 empty .50BMG cases on a linked belt and 12 empty 20mm canon cases on a linked belt. They will be out for sale in one month if anyone is interested.

Cool. My fear with budget glass was that that's what I'd be carrying when the photo of a life time presented itself. So I always lugged around big heavy equipment everywhere I went. It's the main reason I gave up photography, I couldn't enjoy it in moderation.

Get your Dremel warmed up because the Timney will require inletting of the stock. Easily done for a man with your mad skills though.

Naa, it's mostly for the cool factor, but it's still functional so not a complete waste of money. Mostly I want it to make the slide easier to rack. Mine is the XDm with the vertically tapered slide and is stainless steel, slick as owl poop. I find it somewhat more difficult to rack than any other handgun I own, even compact .45ACPs. I added a slide racker to solve this problem but I don't like it. Plus I'm bored, not being able to get the firearms I want so I've been dressing up some that I already own.
