Microgunner

Got my P226 back from SIG Tuesday. Very fast turn around from their custom shop. They did a fine job and I like the pistol better now with the E2 grip and short reset trigger conversions. All the original part were returned with the pistol. I gotta say though, among my full sized pistols my SA XDm is still my favorite. The SIG is in (4) calibers though which I can't do with my XDm, giving the SIG an edge in a crisis situation. Here it is:

Chuck sold the damned thing Monday, full price. I just can't catch a break lately. I haven't paid full price for a firearm, other than a few specialty items, in 25 years. I may have to start if I want to get anything in these turbulant times. Damn......

Gun show in town this weekend here in Tampa. A regular customer stopped in after he left the show to pay off his layaway S&W 624 and told me the prices were all over the place, but generally down from the recent highs. He scored 30 round PMags for $15 apiece. This is encouraging.

Some dumbass is going to see that and try to screw a tiger in the nose. It'll end badly.

Co-worker ordered himself a PTR91 w/ (20) 20rnd magazines yesterday for $1369.00 from One Source Tactical. Dealer said it had a new barrel. I've always been a fan of the HK 91/G3 platform. Does this incarnation live up?
