  1. Good!! Didn't happen without pics of the new baby!!
  2. My buddy was saying that the Goliath bird spiders in Panama sucked. A shaft of sunlight would shine down through the jungle canopy, and those spiders would sit invisible on the spot of sunlight. Saw more than one "Holee crap spider dance".
  3. That's what jumped out at me right there. Others will be along shortly but you will probably get the recommendation to switch to a Spike's Heavy Buffer.
  4. Yeah...the rear sight was stiff but came out with some judicious whacking. The front sight on the other hand is something else entirely! My theory is they freeze the front sights at the factory and, while the slide is glowing red from forging, they press in the front sight. I've never had that much problem with any gun part being so very "installed" before.
  5. I had one of the original Bushmaster Dissipators, A2 stock and sights. One of the ones I should've never let go.
  6. Crimping is important on these semi-auto rifles. When we met in Casa Grande, some .223/5.56 rounds were getting pushed back into the case on recoil due to a too light crimp. Too heavy a crimp and you may get pressure variances or the round may seat too deep in the chamber (depending on the cartridge). I also recommend the Lee Factory Crimp Dies!
  7. <munch>
  8. I'll add that people on this forum have been waiting over a YEAR for their "special order" Rock River LAR-8 rifles. GET IT!!
  9. I have both the Operator and Elite Operator. With the caveat that "every rifle is a enigma unto itself", my EO is the go-to gun and functions flawlessy with the RRA polymer mags (which appear to be identical to the Thermold) and steel FAL mags...inch or metric. The Operator is a bit more finicky, sometimes choosing to lock the bolt back with one round left in the magazine on the steel magazines. Haven't run the polymer much in it. At $1,100 BUY IT!! The mag fixes are simple. If you have issues, come back and let us know what they are and we'll walk you through it.
  10. Welcome from AZ Chad! Not too sure about the M&P10s but someone will be along shortly.
  11. Ain't going to work...got eye problems. Can't see coming in to work today.
  12. Just saw that a little while ago. There was a case here in Tucson back in '92 or '93, two teens went into John's Guns to rob him...tiny little hole-in-the-wall gun shop. The last mistake either of them made.
  13. I have one of those Greg! After you use it for many things beyond reloading, you're going to find yourself looking at 5 gallon models on Amazon. <laughs> It will fit most of the LAR-8 bolt carrier diagonally, just about any disassembled handgun, whole multi-tools and pocket knives.
  14. Welcome from AZ eightmd!
  15. <thumbsup>
  16. Man...you guys are snoozing.
  17. Drew!
  18. Definately not cool eagle10! The Appleseed people here do a good job. I'd go to the Appleseed forum and voice your displeasure.
  19. Finally getting some good ones again!
  20. We used to squeeze those in on deck, USS JFK. Had to clear off a pretty big spot of flight deck.
  21. Aww man! I need the .30 cal version! Sweet...very sweet! Thanks!
  22. Recently seen moving North on I-10, South of Phoenix.
  23. Where you getting that flash hider from Easy? I've been needing that!
  24. No doubt! I was doing charity donation pick-ups on my R80st for a year or so...for the police union at that! About 150 miles in town daily. Can't beat getting paid for riding your bike all day.
  25. The ones that really gave us issues were 10-42 taps in some 17-4 stainless. I'd check out several taps prior to doing that operation...they couldn't understand why my scrap rate was 0%. <laughs> Be careful with tapping guides also. I've seen one that was off about 7* from square. That was fun.
