  1. Yup, especially on one sweet little 4" blued Colt Diamondback 38 Spec. revolver. You know how there's always that one thing that more than anything else you've let go you wish you had back? That's it for me. Can't blame the wife for that one though, I was still with the first one back then and she would just as soon I had gotten rid of ALL the guns. Woman hated motorcycles and muscle cars too! Wonder why THAT relationship didn't work out! <dontknow> <lmao>
  2. I load .223, ..308 and soon 300 BLK on my Dillon 550 along with several pistol calibers. The powder metering is pretty consistent with the ball type rifle powders and the finer stick type rifle powders but with the courser stick powders like IMR 4895 it can get somewhat inconsistent. It's enough that I won't use them in the Dillon.
  3. Tom, the Natl. Guard here used to have an indoor range and they trained in there with the .22 rimfire conversions in their M-16 rifles using reduced targets to simulate longer ranges. The EPA or some such agency shut the range down due to lack of sufficient ventilation. The last time I was in there the baffles and backstop had all been taken out.
  4. To ad to Ron's description, the second stage of the pull will require just a little more pressure than the first stage did.
  5. Keep in mind the AR-15 covers won't work, the AR 308's have a larger port and use a larger cover.
  6. Attaboy Micro! <thumbsup>
  7. I lay a whole schitload of the blame right square on the media's shoulders for the stuff these deranged little fuksticks are cooking up these days. How many kids had ever even heard of a pressure cooker bomb before the Boston incident? Now just about every kid in the country knows what one is, and how to find out how to make one. Hell, I think the media is more to blame than even video games!
  8. Or this;
  9. Hammer time! Get a little nitromethane from a top fuel drag racer and pour it on a concrete floor and smack it with a hammer, same results! It's hard on the concrete though.
  10. Yup, I watched it live too, just happened to be off duty that day. That shootout was a wake up call to law enforcement. nowadays a handgun and an 870 in an electrolock in the cruiser just don't cut it. A patrol rifle with training and proficiency is a lot more of an asset than the liability a lot of chiefs think they are.
  11. I've been in binds were I wanted to start selling guns to get out. My wife has always stopped me from doing so. I wish she had stopped me from trading a couple off though! :-[
  12. Yup, Rob's correct. I've got the Magpul on my CTR and have to have the stock extended to charge the rifle.
  13. Yup, that's the extra tall receiver. Great for mounting optics but it kind of sucks for iron sights. I have the same receiver but I only run optics so it hasn't been an issue for me.
  14. You know where Beavis and Butthead are now that they've grown up? They are doing Sonic Drive-in commercials!
  15. Dammit! Windy today and coming out of the west! Some of the fallout is gonna come this way! Gonna have to keep the wife & kids indoors, the dogs are on their own.
  16. Trading isn't as bad Rene, at least you still have the same amount of guns! <thumbsup>

    Oh my!!!!

Don't know what it is about Santa Fe, but that place attracts some weird ones!
  18. Sketch is just checking on you bro. Making sure you weren't partaking of that "resale" propaganda that Wash was promoting! <lmao>
  19. :strokin: <laughs>

    Kansas

Damn, they gave up beef for chicken? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! <lmao>
  21. Good one Mike! <thumbsup>
  22. True that! My older boy qualed expert with the iron sights, 4 times in 4 years..
  23. Way to go Jon! <thumbsup> I have a suspicion that most antigun folks have not shot a gun, at least not in the type of environment you presented.
  24. I don't know what Border Patrol Agents are allotted but I have 2K rounds of 40 S&W in my stash that says they don't all use it! :P
  25. I've got 3 of the DPMS steel mags. I've always seen them listed as 19 round mags but I can easily get 20 in all 3 of mine. I have 14 Magpul mags and use them most of the time and have never had a problem with any of them.
